Nitori Kawashiro,
the Aquatic Engineer

HERO SUMMARY:

Nitori is a very fun to play hero that boasts high mobility and damage. Specializing in closing the gap between herself and her target. She also revolves around the concept of being in water, whether it's the river or her own flood zones, boosting her capabilities to a powerful degree.

Water-Fall is a weak mobility spell when used on dry land but is very fearsome when cast on water, giving her agility in addition to it's added cast range.Hydro Camouflage enhances her prowess further in water by having bonus attack speed and permanent invisibility!

When out of the water,_Diluvial Mere summons a flood immediately in an area around her, dealing damage. Other than that, her ultimate,_Exteeeending Aaaarm!, grapples into any unit while flooding the area wherever it goes. She can retract the aaaarm™ to drag herself closer to that unit. The biggest deal is that she's able to attack, cast spells, and use items while being dragged. Constantly dealing damage while ensuring the enemy won't escape.
PROS :
  • Naturally good roamer.
  • Excels in ganks and mid-game dominance.
  • 3 escape abilities! From reliable to unreliable.
  • Can attack simultaneously while moving!
CONS :
  • Reliant on being in a river or on her flooded zones.
  • No way to control or disable enemies.
  • Vulnerable to disables.
  • Quite squishy.

GAMEPLAY / ITEMIZATIONS:

Nitori is so versatile! Able to take many roles from position 2 to position 4. Though she is usually played as a mid-game roamer and ganker.

Her best combo is_Exteeeending Aaaarm! >_Water-Fall >_Diluvial Mere > Non-stop attacks. All she need to focus is to not get focused, which will be challenging for a squishy with 400 attack range. Fortunately, she has talents that help her durability.

Without her aaaarm™, things may get harder for her since Water-Fall becomes a terrible & slow gap closer. She can Diluvial Mere first, but that makes it all the more easier for enemies to walk off of it (since they'll be already by the edge), depriving her the agility bonus. So she still needs to be creative in ganks.

Her Aaaarm™ allows her to attack/cast spells/use items while simultaneously moving. But she will have no control of her position, the enemy has that control. But don't fret! Water-Fall allows her to quickly reposition to better spots.

With +30 agility (+48) with +90 attack speed, Nitori's attacks HURT! Not to mention it also provides her with +6 (+9.6) armor from the bonus agility from Water-Fall alone. Her ultimate splurs water constantly making a trail at the enemy. She's a beast once she got her grip! Even if she can't handle her opponent, remember that trail of water the enemy left trying to run away? That's her escape route and her invisibility's time to shine!

CORE ITEMS:
  • Power Treads. Boots of choice.
  • Orchid Malevolence solves all her worries. Nitori is a mana intensive hero, so the mana regen and intelligence is most welcome. Also, if an enemy is too moblie, (e.g. Storm Spirit, Anti-Mage) she has the trouble of being led straight to an ambush. Orchid prevents that while still granting her much needed damage.
  • Urn of Shadows. A mid-game oriented Nitori will find this a worthy pickup. Healing herself after every kills. Can be upgraded to Spirit Vessel.
  • Nullifier. Heroes with high attack speed benefit from this item. She is one of those. Good damage, a mute and powerful slow. It's almost as if it's made for her.
  • Black King Bar. Due to the nature of her ult, wrong plays can put her in bad spot for disables. A good pickup once Nitori is getting respectable damage.

SITUATIONALS:
  • Linken's Sphere, an alternative replacement to BKB.
  • Scythe of Vyse. Totally disables an enemy, keeping them inside floods for longer.
  • Blink Dagger. Setting up Diluvial Mere is easier with a blink on most cases without the river nor ultimate. Plus, it's a 4th mean to escape.
  • Desolator. She hits hard. and this makes her hit harder.
