Ceres Fauna

Keeper of Nature

Ceres Fauna is aUniversal Support hero who offers a copious amount of healing to the point where she actually scale off of it!Wild Roots is a passive that deals damage to a random enemy for roughly the same amount she heals, transforming her most defensive aspect directly into damage. This allows her to strictly build healing items without compromising her damage output.

The rest of kit are built to synergize around this playstyle:Healing Grove is her bread and butter healing ability — which can heal herself or allies both passively and actively;Life-Giving Whisper is a powerful, but short ranged, single target spell that also converts healing into damage; And her ultimate,Mother Nature is a simple AoE heal over time. With her around, her team is bound to be always at full health, while also making sure her enemies are not!

PRoS
  • Powerful lane support: Three of her spells provide healing, and two spells deal damage based on healing. She can win most trades against other lane enemies and gank encounters.
  • Deals damage without losing out on healing: Between healing, utility, and damage; Most healing supports will choose healing and utility. Fauna on the other hand, can still deal significant damage while healing.
  • Good selection of stats and talents: Fauna boasts high strength and intelligence both in base and growth. While her talents are on the unusually strong side that gives her much needed crowd control and mobiity.
CoNS
  • No mobility and escape: If caught alone in the midst of enemy blades, she will have no way to protect herself. This is especially noticeable considering she needs to be close to enemies if she wants to deal damage.
  • Slow-acting heals: Despite healing being her claim to fame, she has no significant burst heals, meaning she'll have to be careful against assassins and nukers with high front-load damage.
  • Literally doesn't do anything other than heal: Fauna is a very specialized hero who pretty much only does healing. She has no saves, no disables, and no other utility.

BUILD

Playing Fauna is very simple, just Holy Locket and Mekansm to further bolster her healing.Life-Giving Whisper andWild Roots counts healing that comes from items as part of their damage. So building them is quite mandatory.

ALLIES

Fauna is best played on a very aggressive line-up. This can range from aggressive casters, like Venomancer; brawlers like Monkey King; and tanks like Primal Beast. Her consistent heals allows her team to be as aggressive as they want without fear of low HP. Not to mention that Fauna can add-in her own damage in the form ofWild Roots.

You know what's better than one healer? more healers!Life-Giving Whisper is different fromWild Roots in such a way that it counts heals from other allies. This means that an ally Oracle, Omniknight, or Io can heal a unit affected by Life-Giving Whisper and it will deal a much, much more significant damage that can go up to the thousands!
