  • It is possible to kill Abaddon without triggering Borrowed Time's auto-activation if he were to take damage higher than his remaining health.

Choice of Item

starting items

just grab the most basic things take the most standard regeneration item Tango and Healing Salve and at least one Clarity because early in the game Aphotic Shield will cost fair amount of mana. the rest actually really up to you but i suggest you pick two Iron Branch and you will have 200 gold to buy Magic Stick or Stout Shield depend on your lane match up.
please don't go to lane with a set of Tango and Bracer/ Magic Wand that was really bad choice of item.Unless you are super confident with your ability to farm, so you can get Ring of Health in no time, and still have some regen.

early game

first of all pick Boots of Speed, so you can catch up to your enemies. next is probably Bracer this item component is really cheap and easy to build, then continue to Belt of Strength it is always more nice than to have that +6 strength rather than just +15 attack speed. Magic Stick you can skip this or just invest to 200 gold that can help you out of sticky situation.

Pre Core (pick one or two)

okay now you are dominating the lane or you got some extra gold after get Boots of Speed this list of item you may want to pick :
  • Soul Ring after use the active you can just spam Aphotic Shield and Mist Coil make sure you manage your health and mana carefully
  • Urn of Shadows +6 strength and give small mana regen, the active also really good as long you have charge
  • Medallion of Courage it give you small regen, and the active make both of you and the enemy hero losing 6 armor, but since you this item already give you 6 armor you just get back to yours base armor
  • Bottle pick it up if you or another support light up the map, there is also so many runes that can be usefull. Also refrain to pick if team has alreay more than one bottle carrier.
  • Magic Wand probably if you already pick magic stick before, and you can gain more than 10 charges of that stick upgrade it to this.

boots of choice

this boots will provide you +30 attack speed and +8 selected attribute. not really give extra movement speed from standard boots but that tread's switching is really useful, but most of the time it should on strength since it add you Health about 152 point. My personal favorite boots, since there will be a good chance you will not build another attack speed item until late game.

give you +250 mana pools, and active will restore 135 at the cost of 35 mana. pretty neat boots i can't really complain much about it.

this boots will provide you free TP, with cost of the recipe 2000 gold. pretty expensive but really this is a decent pick up since it gives you +100 movement speed and ability to teleport to non-unit hero. But it will give nothing more than that consider this if you want to split push or omni presence to your team

the active gives you +16% movement speed and ability to move through unit, and it will gives you +24 damage. the +24 damage not actually needed, that +16% movement speed actually quite useful quite tempting boots of choice. But this boots actually more needed for hero that need a good positioning to land disable. After comparing with all the other boots this is one of the most mediocre choice since it will gives you 447 only while phasing, compare to Boots of travel it will gives you constant 430 movement speed. But it is still really your choice.

this boots give you +90 movement speed,+4 armor, and +12 HP regeneration. Really looks good on paper but you will lost 30 movement seed and that +12 HP regeneration WHEN you haven't attacked or been attacked in the last 13 seconds. unless you play full support with full roaming this isn't really good choice.

DRUM or VANGUARD

VS
Okay ... up to this point everyone must be asking why two of this item, while you can pick Mekansm?? well this build will more focusing on semi-carry or ganker, this build will not focusing on support Abaddon, although i will add support section later. But for now let's see both pros and cons of each of this
Drum of Endurance
pros :
  • It gives 171 HP,14 attack speed, 1.28 armor, and 117 mana
  • it gives you aura that give 5% movement speed and 5 attack speed
  • Have an active that boost movement speed and attack speed for 6 second.
cons :
  • it does provide almost no regen both to Health and Mana
  • the charges is so limited and fairly expensive to replenish
  • the passive that it gives you so mediocore

Vanguard
pros :
  • give you whole 250 HP with +6 hp regen
  • give you 80% chance to block 40 damage
  • Easy to build if you are dominating lane
cons :
  • the damage block isn't really that useful when mid-late game
  • the amount of HP it gives exactly same as Vitality Booster
  • It doesn't really give any benefits for your team mate

Items Extension & Luxury

Extension

This is actually pretty bad choice of item, BUT i listed this as first choice of extension because every single of it's component is fairly cheap. So even you got targeted first and die. You still can pretty much keep up with the enemy team since this is fairly easy to build, although you really shouldn't pick this when you have the advantage, this item really isn't that effective for it's cost.Consider this when your team falling behind, and there is some carry that maybe can make a come back later.

If your team leading and the map still have some space to farm, you could pick this up it provides you decent damage and attack speed along with ability to flash farm. It is also can be upgraded to Mjollnir for further attack speed.

well you having a hard time right-click the enemy carry or he simply outfarmed you and you need little bit cutting edge to kill him, let me present you guys armlet, roughly when activate give you +56 damage and + 10 attack speed it also give you some HP boost from strength bonus. although the drawback quite costly, when activated drains 70 HP/second. Be careful this item quite the double edged sword, also this is mid game oriented item don't built it to late game.

okay you simply think i already have decent enough enough speed, just give me some raw damage to tear down all enemy support. Well here you go, it simply give +60 damage and minus 6 armor on contact. Things you should note this item not so effective against high armor carry such as Dragon Knight

after all this time they still desperately try to bring you down with all those damage, let's return those favor with these item the extra armor quite good that can protect you a little bit from armor tearer, also give them the taste of their own medicine with your active. Remember the active doesn't go through Black King Bar

Luxury

Jack of all trades for any strength hero give you total 1060 HP and the most important things is 2% HP restored per second. This item pretty self explanatory, although you may want to avoid if enemy carry have some some critical, since normally crit's tear apart large Health pools.

ah great item for Abaddon normally you will be good for holding any kind of aura, since you are so hard to kill.In addition also give you aura, extra armor, and along with attack speed. What's no to love ??

Now this is really will bring some pain to the enemy carry, first both of Curse of Avernus and Eye of Skadi goes through Black King Bar and it does STACK.

+15 armor, additional +30 intelligence. But the important things that it gives you aura that Reduces attack speed on enemies in 350 radius. also the active will slow down enemy movement speed for 4 second.

Summary

overall Abaddon is pretty neat hero, that can almost fit to any role. In cost of not exactly excel in one role. The build is also very flexible, and if you like it please give some feed back. Preferably comment and PM so i can update it soon enough. For now i just want some opinion on this guide. Thank you
