Abaddon releases a coil of death that can damage an enemy unit or heal a friendly unit at the cost of some of his own health.

Damage Type: Magical
Cast Animation: 0.25 + 0.67
Range: 800
Radius: 0 ( 375)
Self Damage: 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 ( 150 / 175 / 200 / 225)
Target Damage/Heal: 120 / 165 / 210 / 255 ( 195 / 230 / 275 / 330)
Mana Cost: 50 Cooldown Time: 4.5
Additional Information
A mysterious vapor from the Font of Avernus now infuses the breath of Abaddon, who releases it at will.

NOTES:
  • Deals pure damage to self.
  • Abaddon can deny himself with this ability.
  • The self damage is absorbed by Aphotic Shield.
  • The self damage can trigger Borrowed Time. While under the effect, the self damage will heal instead.
  • The self damage is affected by spell damage amplification and other sources of damage manipulation.
  • The self damage is applied instantly upon cast. That means that if Abaddon simultaneously kills an unit and denies himself, he does not get the experience.
  • If the target ally turns hidden* before projectile impact, it still gets healed by it.
  • Can be cast on siege creeps.
  • The Abaddon: +375 AoE Mist Coil talent adds a 375 radius to this spell. The targeting reticule must be centered over an enemy unit.
    • Also targets units inside the fog of war and invisible units. However, invisible targets instantly disjoint it.
    • The self-damage stays the same, regardless of how many targets got coiled.
*The following abilities turn the target hidden: Assimilate, Astral Imprisonment, Disruption, Doppelganger, Enchant Remnant, Infest, Manta Style, Mirror Image, Phantasm, Phase Shift, Primal Split, Snowball and Tricks of the Trade.



INTERACTIONS:

Spell Immunity:
  • Can be cast on spell immune allies.
  • Cannot be cast on spell immune enemies.
  • The self damage pierces spell immunity.
Spell Block:
  • Blocked upon impact, as primary and secondary target, therefore, Abaddon still loses health.
Disjoint:
  • Can be disjointed by enemies and allies.
