Introduction

First off, let me introduce myself. my in game name is lucky and I am a carry player. Mirana is among the top tier picks right now because she is powerful in every single stage of the game, something that very few heroes have. This guide focuses on lane dominance, something that Mirana excels at.

Skill Information

[Mirana's skills are very versatile. I will cover them over in this section.

Starstorm
Starstorm is Mirana's pushing/farming tool. It deals damage to nearby targets and then deals bonus damage to a random target within a 175 range of you. Max this first due to the farming boost, and immense damage to single targets.



Sacred Arrow
Sacred Arrow is Mirana's bread and butter move. It can deal up to 420 magic damage and can stun for up to 5 seconds. It also has enormous range. The only downside to this skill is that it is a skillshot, making it harder to land. Max this second for the extra damage and kill potential it gives.



Leap
Leap is an instant cast spell that makes you jump forward. After you Leap, you also give movement speed to nearby allies. This skill can be used both offensively and defensively. You can use it to escape enemies, or chase after them. Get a point at 2, but max it last due its utility even without skill points in it.



Moonlight Shadow
Moonlight Shadow is Mirana's ultimate. It gives your team invisibility for 15 seconds, with a fade time of 2.5, 2, and 1.5 at max level. Like Leap, this can be used both offensively and defensively. This ultimate can wins you SO many teamfights, especially if the enemy does not have detection. I choose to get it at levels 6, 11, and 16. Some players choose to wait on your ulti until level 10, but again, you are going a semi-carry build.

Pros and Cons

Here are some pros and cons of playing Mirana.

Pros.

Very good at every stage of the game
Is a powerful ganker, lane presence, and teamfighter
Gets kills easily with her skillset
Can play every lane (except jungle)
Huge damage from Sacred Arrow and Starstorm.
Feared by many players
Pretty long attack range



Cons.

Terrible base damage and not the best stat gain
Squishy, targeted in teamfights
Partially countered by invis detection
Gets outscaled late game by a lot of other carries
Has to have team cooperation in order to be played to full potential


Item Build- Carry

First off, I start out with one Tango and one Healing Salve, for sustain in lane. I choose to get two Slippers of Agility due to Mirana's terrible base damage. One Iron Branch to spend your remaining gold on.

The first item I get is a Ring of Aquila. Ring of Aquila is AMAZING on Mirana. First off, it gives her stats, something that she needs. It gives her health, mana, mana regen, armor, and damage. This item is core to build on Mirana early game.

My boots of choice are Phase Boots. Now, before you start flaming me on why I don't get Power Treads, hear me out. First, Mirana's base damage is terrible, this item makes your auto's actually do something considerable. Second, the movespeed this item gives along with the Drums of Endurance,
Yasha and your Leap will have you soaring, allowing you to position your Sacred Arrow, and allows you to escape from sticky situations. Third, the next couple of items you build will give you tons of attack speed, you don't need any more from Power Treads.

After Phase Boots, I go Drum of Endurance. This item is magnificent on Mirana. Like Ring of Aquila, it gives you mana, health, and damage. This also offers you movespeed that stacks with Leap, and Phase Boots.

If You Are Going Build 1-Next, I go Maelstrom. Maelstrom will later be built into a Mjollnir after finishing Daedalus, and offers you attack speed, damage, and a chance to proc chain lightning, which will make your rightclicks quite scary.

Your next item after Maelstrom should be a Daedalus since it makes your rightclick damage immense, allowing you to shred through squishies, and deal good damage to tanks. Mjollnir Daedalus is also an extremely scary item combo lategame.

After finishing your Mjollnir, you'll want to build an Eye of Skadi for the amazing tankiness, mana, and chasing potential it gives. Mjollnir and Eye of Skadi is an amazing item combo as it allows you to shoot lightning from your arrows on some attacks, while slowing their movespeed on the attacks that dont proc chain lightning, giving tons of damage that only gets increased by the crits from Daedalus. After Eye of Skadi, build a Manta Style for the amazing stats it gives, and also allowing you to create illusions. If the game proves to be very long, you have a fork in the road. If the enemy has built any evasion, or if you are facing a Phantom Assassin, or a Brewmaster, go Monkey King Bar. If the enemy team has no evasion, go Butterfly instead.


If you are going build 2: After Drums of Endurance, you'll want to build a Yasha, which gives you damage, movespeed that stacks with Phase Boots, Drums of Endurance, and Leap and attack speed. Yasha will later be built into a Manta Style

After Yasha you'll want to get your first big item, which will usually be a Desolator , which gives you tons of damage, and armor reduction on your attacks, which will allow you to SHRED through squishies, and weaken tanks due to the armor
reduction.

After finishing your Desolator, you'll want to finish your Yasha into a Manta Style, which gives you hp, mana, illusions, damage, and attack speed. What more can you ask for?

If the game goes long, you'll want to build a Butterfly if you want some more damage, and you want some evasion if the enemy carry focuses you. If you are dying too quickly in teamfights, and you want to some hp, get a Heart of Terrasque. After finishing one of those items, there is a fork in the road. If the enemy team has a pesky evasion hero, like a Phantom Assassin or Brewmaster, or if the enemy team has a Butterfly, get a Monkey King Bar, if the enemy team doesn't have any evasion, get a Daedalus.
Note that Faceless Void doesn't dodge attacks, he backtracks them, meaning that Monkey King Bar doesn't make your attacks 100% guaraneed to hit him.

Situational items on Mirana include Linken's Sphere which is a very good item if the enemy team has strong initiating abilities like Flaming Lasso or Doom
Hand of Midas is not recommended for a semi carry, but it will give you your late game items faster, which is always nice.
Black King Bar is a very good item if they enemy has tons of stuns, or if they have tons of magic damage.

Item Build- Support

The Item build on support Mirana is quite simple. When you start the match, you'll want to see if you are the only support on your team, or if there is another support on your team. If you are the only support, you'll want to get an Animal Courier, Observer Ward. Healing Salve, [[Tango, and Clarity. If there are two or more supports, and the other support doesn't get Observer Wards or an Animal Courier, get them. If the other support DOES get the war and courier, you should get a Sentry Ward and Smoke of Deceit. You can use the smoke to get firstblood, or save it to gank the midlaner or enemy carry.

When the minute mark comes, you'll want to get a Flying Courier if no one else on your team does.

In the early stages on the game, you'll want to purchase Boots of Speed at some point. Remember to keep buying wards and smoke, so that you can keep vision on the map, and so that you can gank with your other support, if there is one. You'll also want to purchase a magic stick, so that you have a quick mana and health heal in critical situations.

When the mid game comes, try to upgrade your boots into Arcane Boots, so that you can keep applying pressure on the map with your spells. Ask if anyone is building a Mekansm, if not, get one. If someone IS getting a Mekansm get an Urn of Shadows and Medallion of Courage instead. Remember to keep buying wards and smoke!

In the late game, you have lots of options. If there is no Urn of Shadows or Medallion of Courage on your team, get one as they help the team immensely. You can also get a Force Staff to help your team initiate or back off from engages. Get a Ghost Scepter if the enemy team's carry is focussing you down. Scythe of Vyse Is a nice item to get if you want to lock down an enemy carry, so that your team can destroy them. Orchid Malevolence Can be a good choice if the enemy team has someone slippery like a Slark, Storm Spirit, Morphling, Ember Spirit, Timbersaw, etc. Shiva's Guard is nice if your team has trouble engaging from Moonlight Shadow, or if you want to slow the attack and movement speed of the enemy heroes. Necronomicon is very helpful in pushing lineups that are struggling to break highground. And of course, keep buying those wards and smokes!

Situational items on support Mirana include Dust of Appearance if the enemy team has any invis heroes, Heaven's Halberd If the enemy has a heavy rightclicker like a Wraith King, Ursa, or Bloodseeker. If the enemy team ahs lots of magic damage, don't be afraid to get a Pipe of Insight. An Assault Cuirass can be a good item to purchase if no one on your team is getting it, since it not only boosts your team, but weakens the enemy team as well. However it is quite costly. Drum of Endurance is a must have on every team, so get it if your team has not already.

Supports

Having a good support usually wins you the game outright. Here are supports that I find good with Mirana.

Crystal Maiden: The best support with Mirana hands down. Her Arcane Aura along with your Ring of Aquila will have you sending Sacred Arrow's for days. Additionally her Frostbite sets up perfectly for your Sacred Arrow to hit. Lastly, Freezing Field combined with Moonlight Shadow will win you so many teamfights its absurd.

Shadow Demon: Shadow Demon offers a devastating combo, if you can land it. He uses Disruption on a target, and you have to time your Sacred Arrow perfectly. Combined with the bonus damage he offers, this combo is to be feared.

Vengeful Spirit: Vengeful Spirit, like Crystal Maiden, offers an almost guaranteed Sacred Arrow. Her Vengeance Aura allows your damage to escalate to high numbers, and her Wave of Terror combines nicely with Desolator. Her Nether Swap can also engage from Moonlight Shadow.

Earthshaker: can stunlock someone with for your arrow to hit, can initiate from Moonlight Shadow, and can save your life by blocking your and your pursuer's way with Fissure, while you simply Leap over the Fissure.

Bane: Bane like Crystal Maiden and Vengeful Spirit can give you a guranteed arrow. Bane's Fiend's Grip basically guarantee's a kill aswell.

Conclusion

Mirana is currently one of the best carries out there right now. She sets up kills well, and transitions into the late game. My current winrate with her is 67%. She is currently picked quite a bit by pros, and can prove a major threat at any part of the game.
