Like many great poets, Auroth just wants time to write, but the Winter Wyvern's life is full of interruptions. The epics of the Eldwurms have a long and colorful history, but some fear that the remaining dragon scholars are not as prolific as they once were, with few lines added to the Eldwurm Eddas since the last age of greatness. Auroth laments: "We forget that there is more to life than triumph and dominion over enemies. We must also live our lives in the pursuit of creative expression." She embarks on research expeditions, collecting books for inspiration. But all this research can be terribly distracting, and she spends less time writing than she should. Although she knows she should be lurking in her lair, adding to the Eddas, she finds herself engaged in epic battles against powerful enemies. She loots castles, raids ancient libraries... and if she happens to heap glory on herself in the process, she tells herself that it's merely a side effect of her research. The fact is, while her skill and power on the battlefield are legendary, her scholarly travails have thus far hardly been the stuff of literary acclaim. But she is not content to stand as a protagonist of heroic lore. She wishes also to create it.

I can confirm I have successfully played Winter Wyvern as a mid hero and haven't been beat yet. Especially effective against Sniper. Late game WW with the right items is a game changer, you go from strong support to semi-carry pretty quickly. If you can get a refresher orb, you can spam that powerful ulti and swing the game in your teams favour (unless your team has been feeding a lot).

Yeah "SHE" is definitely a mid hero. I've played her a lot and that is the best lane. Plus she has enough range to go against sniper in at least the early game.

I missed a great opportunity when this gal's release was being hyped to say 'Winter is Coming'.

This makes me sadder than it probably should.

I've only played a few games with WW but I really like him so far. He's really strong in all stages of the game, because as all supports are he's good early game but because two of his spells scale through the strength of allies ( Cold Embrace) AND enemies ( Winter's Curse), he's also quite good late game compared to most other supports (also because he has two slows in Splinter Blast and Arctic Burn and slows don't really lose their usefulness); not to mention that he can transition into a semi-carry decently and that he has a massive amount of crowd control in general (this can be amplified by picking up a Rod of Atos, Eul's Scepter of Divinity, and/or Scythe of Vyse, all of which seem pretty good on him).

I just want to take a moment to be thankful this is most likely the next hero to be ported, then probably Underlord. I love flying around and Winter's Cursing people.

It's not Techies that's gonna break the game, if anyone, it's Arc Warden.

Or Winter 2015-2016.
I really like this guy. Even more than Arc Warden and the others.

his Q will bring a hero who has 1000 hp down to 689.871 hp (not counting reductions.)

from 1000 range

and applies a slow.

his w does 340 damage to potentially 4 heroes

on a 6 second cooldown

with a 1200 range and applies a slow

his e is crazy against right clickers... come at me PA!!!

void chronos? wyvern is outside boom cast cold embrace on the trapped ally ... what chu gonna do boo!!

his ult is .... insane late game

magnus rp cast curse on the biggest threat before they can bkb and watch them melt under there own carrys damage. plus 3 secoonds is a great set up time.

just remember to lock down the target u cast on.

all in all i cant wait!

he will be added mid 2015 i expect.

I think he could go mid, because with Splinter Blast he can push out the wave, and his attack buff could easily net him kills if his team ganks. He also seem to me to be a little bit level dependent, too much so for a tri-lane support at least.

Arctic Burn might be good for lane control, but won't it be a little too mana-intensive?

yea ... his ulti was awesome and his Q was a tad OP the old radius used to be like 700 units and made going into teamfights against him crazy hard.
