Hello everyone, and welcome to my Phantom Assassin guide. First of all, this is my first time ever writing a full guide on a specific hero on Dota Fire and I hope I do well. I am just a very casual player, getting my hands on DotA just few years ago. On the side note, if there are anything that need to be fix or added, just let me know and I will try to keep the guide updated as possible. The thing that I love about Phantom Assassin is how much damage she can deal in a single strike with Coup de Grace. She might not be as scary from early to mid game due to lack of disables. Nonetheless, in the late game stages she is just a force to reckon with, able to go toe to toe with other tournament competitive carries such as Anti-Mage, Faceless Void and Luna; a feat that can be pulled off by Phantom Lancer, Spectre and Medusa aside from Mortred herself. |

Stifling Dagger: The first skillset in PA's arsenal is Stifling Dagger, which is very unique in my opinion. This dagger deals pure damage to the enemy units but with a twist. The dagger deals full damage to the non-heroes unit while dealing only half to the heroes itself. The movement slow properties remains intact for both of the type of units. The projectile animation cannot be dodged by blinking. Subsequent to version 6.79, this skillset gets even better because when you leveled up Coup de Grace, it grants Stifling Dagger the same critical proc chance.
Tips & Tricks
Phantom Strike: Blink is the most unique and effective game mechanic in DotA. The same concept applies for PA Phantom Strike but in a slightly different way. Unlike Anti-Mage or Queen of Pain Blink ability, PA actually needs a target in order to blink in or out of combat. She cannot blink to a spot where there is no vision or units nearby. If the target is an enemy unit, PA will blink and strike with an extra 130 attack speed for 4 seconds or 4 successful attacks.
Tips & Tricks
Blur: Evasion is the most beautiful thing that will help you a lot from right click damage, considering that PA survivability is crucial all the time. At max level, the evasion that you gained is whooping 50%, more than Butterfly can provides which is a very good trade off without that 6000 gold investment. The "blur" effect does not triggered by invisible enemy heroes but however it is triggered by enemy heroes that were out of sight (within 1600 radius) with a delay of 0.75 second. Subsequent to version 6.79, evasion items now stacks diminishingly with Blur.
Tips & Tricks
Coup de Grace: The blow of no mercy. A deathblow to end the suffering of your enemy in a very brutal way. This is probably one of the best passive ultimate ability in the game, which suits Mortred as the Phantom Assassin. In the recent 6.75 patch, this skill receive a buff which increase the damage output from 400% to 450%. That is nearly 50% bonus which is quite insane. Needless to say, PA completely holds the title as a bullet train right click hero with this skill set in her arsenal.
