Poll Question:

What do you think Huskar's place is in the competitive scene?
Situational #1 Position
Semi-Carry/Ganker (core hero)
Niche Hero
Occasional Ban by Nuke-Heavy teams
Cellar Dweller (Not even worth a respect ban)

The difference is that when i write i do not take the time to edit or spell check or revise. To me, by having to pull yourself out of your line/thought/idea, to make sure you have the correct spelling and prose. I find it competently blocks my flow bro ;)

If i have a perfect paragraph thought out in my head i sometimes lose parts of it if i have to think about it in terms of "correctness". ruins it for me man.

my editor hates it ;P hahaha

he has been picked a couple of times and he is centainly legit.
ofcourse very situational since he is a counterpick who gets countered himself by a lot of heroes. but against the right team he should be picked.
Yes he can be kited but so could TI3 alchemist, be he was picked every game. so why shouldnt huskar be picked against magic damage teams?

He needs his ulti buffed so that the damage from ulti goes thru spell immunity.
That way he can be a viable situational #4 mek carrier that can die to weaken the enemy carry late game. I would say that his inner vitality needs a buff too. That threshold is too low to work in tight situations where he just might get crit down late game. Make it so that it constantly gives regen if your hp is lower than 80%..

Id say his burning spears is rather good. While magic damage is made light of in late game, a non bkb carry does fear his DoT from this ability, it does seriously hurt supports and seriously irritates a carry. There was a time he could ghost scepter and then maul a harder carry. Burning spear ia the center point to huskar, even if some may acknowledge his 1st skill it is weak imo

Huskar needs to be played as a martyr, the same mentality as huskar actually has, to die for good, making his cause a success, even if he dies.

In theory he would be really good with a bkb against a 4 protect 1 strat where he would be able
to bomb in on their "1" and do significant damage.

Huskar is absolutely countered by BKB, burning spears and his ult is most of Huskar's damage. I still think he's ok though before BKB is on all cores... imo players need to be more aggressive at level 6 instead of trying to farm like a position #1 core. Unless Huskar is snowballing, he's going to fall off during the later stages of mid game especially if the enemy position #1 and #2 are not behind.

edit: especially teammates, Huskar players live or dive depending on how well the team works together

Ult still does good damage though, the problem is getting it off. Blink Dagger Huskar?
His rightclicks are still fine, he can take a good chunk off of a bkb carry's hp before going down, especially after ult. Problem is if he wants to do that he needs a bkb too. He would be able to initiate with ult, bkb, damage the enemy carry severly, and then die. Seconds later, after the enemy carry's bkb expires, his team jumps in.

Just a notable thing about Huskar that I tried out is Diffusal Blade. It's no longer an attack modifier and it can purge you, allies and enemies. And when your attack speed gets going, its rather strong.

"First Blood!"

Late late game, bkb gets burned out and crowd control takes over again in the form of sheep stick carriers. Players who can kite well drcide the fight and those who can pressure the enemy to defend against pushers decide the match.
Huskars magic damage should not be frowned up on at this time if the game has progressed this far.
Of course this means you need a harder carry, and huskaar being played as a semi support.

@Unscathed
Blade mail is bad on huskaar. You sacrifice hp yourself without eneny damage and magic damage becomes so meagre that the return is dismally bad.

I build him as a tank.
Halberd, heart/satanic, PTs, mek, shivas and i keep one slot open for late wards, smoke and gem.
You van sell mek if #5 buys it and then you have a slot for a late game bkb.
