6.82 Jungle Bloodseeker

Role changes

The changes in 6.82 made Bloodseeker less of a carry and more into a teamfighter like Enigma. Laning him in jungle is most effective IMHO since new Bloodrage became such a double edged skill.

That means, getting the timing when to go online right is even more important now. As soon as you hit level 6, you should gank all lanes whenever your Rupture is available.

Skill Build

Bloodrage: Increases all damage recieved and dealt, no matter what kind of damage. That includes spells, items, autoattacks. Heals for a percentage of max HP of anything the unit with Bloodrage kills but also heals anyone who kills the buffed unit.

How to use it:

  • Jungling - Increases your jungle speed by boosting damage, heals you by killing jungle camps.
  • Ganking - Increases damage on target of Rupture -> quick pickoff.
  • Buffing glasscannons - Heros who can deal damage from afar can use the buff very well without much risk. Examples: Zeus, Sniper, Silencer (Can buff after Last Word was cast)

Blood Rite: New spell with sick animation (best looking in game IMHO). Pure damage + Huge AOE silence but 3 second delay. => Combine with Rupture or a teammate's disable.
Also great for zoning out enemies in teamfights.

Thirst: Truesight vision on all enemies below 30% hp. Free damage and movement speed for each HP your enemies are lacking. => 1 hero missing 10% HP = +3,5 damage and +4% movement speed at level 4.

Rupture: Forces enemies to stand still or suffer moderate (level 1) to severe (level 3) pure damage. This is your initiation skill. It is great to prevent enemies from blinking away, however Town Portal Scroll is a cheap escape. Therefor make sure to make use of Bloodrage, Blood Rite and your Urn of Shadows for enough damage when you use Rupture or have a teammate with a stun ready.

Max Thirst first - in the laning stage, there will always be some heros lacking some HP which boosts your damange and lets you jungle faster. The speed boost also lets you help out in nearby lanes on occasion.

I am still not sure about whether maxing Bloodrage or Blood Rite first. For now I found maxing Blood Rite first better because it gives more guarateed damage. Relying on Bloodrage for damage in ganks is risky. Feel free to comment on that.

Item build and game progression

Start without regen? NOOB!
In case of jungle Bloodseeker it really is not needed. Better to buy Observer Wards or Animal Courier to help out your (probably) solo support a bit.

First items you build are Boots of Speed and Urn of Shadows - ahh there's your regen. Then turn the boots into Power Treads.

By the time you have Power Treads you should have reached level 6 and be ready to gank. With (hopefully) some kill bounty you build a Blade Mail. Why Blade Mail? Because Bloodrage essentially doubles its effectiveness - think about it.

From there on it depens on the enemy lineup and the game progression about what to build next. Black King Bar vs lots of stuns, Crimson Guard if you team can use some damage block, Assault Cuirass if your team needs some bonus armor, Heart of Tarrasque vs heavy nukes, Abyssal Blade if you need a stun, Butterfly for evasion, Manta Style to dispell yourself, Diffusal Blade to dispell others, Monkey King Bar if the enemy has evasion, Scytche of Vyse Eye of Skadi if you don't know what to buy anymore.

It is important to farm whenever your Rupture is on cooldown. Don't sit in a lane, in enemy vision and next to one of your cores taking his gold/xp. Stay in jungle and off vision and pounce on the enemy every minute when Rupture is available. This will make them scared to go to lane and secure your team an early advantage.

After getting picked off by Bloodseeker ganks, at some point your enemy will try to 5 man push a tower. Thankfully, all new Blood Rite is a beast in teamfights. However, Bloodseeker is a lot less tanky compared to 6.81. Casting Bloodrage on yourself in a teamfight is often a bad idea and you no longer heal when enemy heros die next to you. This means you have to stay back at least at the beginning of the teamfight.

The Rupture + Blood Rite combo is also applicable in teamfights since it forces your enemies to either leave one of them behind, or get mass silenced.

Creeping / Jungling

To Jungle Bloodseeker, you use a technique called "choke point jungling". That meas, cutting trees near camps and hiding there so only one creep can hit you at a time. I linked a video below.

The hardest point to jungling Bloodseeker is at level 1. Go to the runespot at 0:00 but try not to engage in a fight there. Once creeps spawned, check the medium camps. Worst case is 2x centaurs who are really hard to kill at level one. In that case you may check the big camps for trolls. If still unlucky, make sure to get a good choke point and kill the big centaur first. Dont use Bloodrage right away, use it when the centaur is below half HP.

Once you are level 2, just make sure you have Bloodrage on you whenever you kill a creep and you should be max HP all the time.
