Phoenix makes a GREAT mid hero with tons of killing and ganking power. I hate it when people play him support, he really sucks as a support. His only heal is Sunray and that is super ineffective, and he has no slow or stun ( a mere attack speed reducer). So why is he support? I have no idea. But he does have great DPS and escape and some really heavy nikes as well as and ultimate that renews you. So why not a ganker? I don't know. My KDA with Pheonix is always great, usually with no deaths and at least a few kills. My best is 13 - 0. And he is super easy to play. My strategy? Get Tranqs , Urn , Mek, and Eul's, possibly a Veil or Agh's (just tested it, i'd say better for support role). All you have to do with Phoenix? Summon Fire Spirits, Icarus Dive on them, and while you are Icarus Diving, shoot off all your fire spirits. If you real want that kill, use Supernova. Supernova's AoE Damage is insanity.

I agree with Phoenix mid, and he is not a support in any way.

I got a match where I went 13-3-14 with him for my insane ganking. Though squishy, he is a very good tower diver. But phoenix is most suited for offlane as other heroes can uses the mid lane. The hardest thing to master is the Sun Ray.

In this match, I played as phoenix where the enemy calls my hero imba. Phoenix so gud.....

Ever had an idea of playing Phoenix with Enigma?
Nope, this is not about doing that Supernova in the middle of a Blackhole (or what other people say as the "Event Horizon"), but it's close to that.

My friends and I tested playing the new patch and I went for Phoenix with Aghs in mind, then my bestfriend took Enigma for fun (we weren't planning on the wombo combo, we were just trying out new heroes)

What happened in a teamfight near Rosh's pit was awesome.

Enigma blinked in, but was stunned by Earthshaker and Sven before he could even ult.
I found the opportunity of using Aghs, dived in and Ulti'd on Enigma
When the Supernova's life was at half, our Dark Seer blinked in and Vacuum'd the enemies to Rosh
Rosh slammed, Supernova bursts, Enigma went for a five man Black Hole and we were both shouting like "We made a Black H[insert a gazillion O's here]le!!!" inside the internet cafe.

hahaha... it was a fun game.
funny thing was that it was my first game (although it wasn't a normal match, just a match with 7 friends) and it turned out epic.
I can't wait to play ranked games though, but I have to take the exams this upcoming Monday, so... I really need to focus studying first xD
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity, I have come to erase that fine line.
