I'm back guys! You know the drill: Items, Skill build, and 1-3 sentences of description.

I haven't played Undying much, but when I do play him, he wrecks face.

Skill: 1-1-1 into 1-1-4-1. Decay level one. Then max Decay unless someone in the game has summons.

Items: I'm not entirely sure, don't wanna get flamed. :P

Is it true that Undying solo beats a trilane?

Well, I've only played him once but he is incredibly tough.

Durability items seem to work best on him. That's what I see in all the guides, and also after playing him he definetly doesn't want or need lots of AAD thanks to Decay.

Necrobook is definetly core on him, beyond a shadow of a doubt. He's a pusher :P

I noticed he had mana problems, so he needs a Soul Ring and Arcanes for sure, possibly even a wand and Basil works well since he's a pusher.

But iedk wtf I'm talking about :P

Soul Rip is awesome, even early on. Get one level of decay only,

Item: Radiance lel.

Tbh I don't build Soul Ring.

I go Boots >> Urn (50% mana regen) >> Arcane Boots

and that should solve the mana problems.

I usually build auras, like Vlads and stuff, since I don't need much equipment myself and I survive.

Yeah I built Basil.

I'll try Urn instead of Soul Ring.

It's just that the ring made sense to me, since Basil alone isn't enough for mana sustain, but shortly after getting soul ring I wasn't having any sort of mana issues, and I sold it not a while after.

For skills, I got my first point into decay, 2nd into tombstone, 3rd into soul rip and I leveled tombstone and decay from there. Such a strong pusher. I feel like NP is just obsolete. I mean, so squishy and bad early you don't even see him until ~ minute 10. By that point, if Undying gets the ball rolling he'll have taken down a tower.

Very strong, but situational hero. The biggest problem I find with him solo offlane is that you can Decay, but without follow up, it doesn't actually do that much...wading in to inflict damage with your melee attack against a trilane is generally suicide.

You either want a decent harassing lane partner, or have to spend more mana using Soul Rip.

Tbh, I don't particularly like that people only get 1 early level of Soul Rip - 75 mana may seem like a lot for a strength hero, but it makes this ability SO much stronger. 80 max damage -> 264 in one level. For 25 more mana. With trilanes 12 units is possible, and even with less you're comparing 8 dam/heal to 22.

Q-W-W-E-E

Mana is the biggest issue - get as much as you can, have allies that help here etc. Items are pretty flexible - lots of mana regen, then pretty much whatever utility you like. Personally I like Urn of Shadows into Arcane Boots too.

Undying's only function is to go into a lane and wreck it..... And often you need a laning partner to do it effectively.
If your lane goes bad as undying you are almost playing 4v5 since he falls off so hard early. After tombstone's potency is over your only use is some heals, your ult, and utility items.

I love this hero. So strong, and great at helping finish the game early.
I go 1-1-3-1 as my standard build, but if i am getting a lot of harass i'll put another point or 2 into Soul Rip. Generally though, max Tombstone first then decide if you want more harass, or more nuke/sustain.
Mana is a problem, but i normally find a Ring of Basilius first and then quick Mana Boots (if you are getting good farm) is enough to eliviate this. If farm is a problem, go Soul Ring. I'd never thought of going Urn on him, but this is a pretty good idea. Might start doing this.

Not sure on the Necrobook someone mentioned... I see the synergy, but it doesn't really add to his sustain so i would ask others to get this. A Basilius and Mek give you a lot of push and the Necrobook isn't exactly going to turn you into Lycan.

The main thing about him is that with his Tombstone, Decay and Flesh Golem he needs to be alive. 15-30% damage amplification is no joke! So i usually go first item Vanguard (build from the Stout Shield you should pick up) and then if there is no other natural carrier i go Mek or Vlads.

Obviously, a Mek with him is a bit dodgy, cos of the aforementioned Mana issues, but the armour it gives it great and obviously there is the active. I prefer the Vlads, but if you don't have anyone who is likely to finish one i would grab the Mek.

After this, Blade Mail is great on him, and building that Vanguard into a Crimson Guard isn't bad either. If you are getting all the farm in the world, why not get MOAR SLOWS with a Shiva's Guard, or even more sustain with an Assault Cuirass.

Basically, i like building armour items on him. But, obviously, this is situational, if the team is full of nukers go Pipe of Insight and Heart of Tarrasque. If there is a carry who got out of control get Heaven's Halberd. You know the drill. Build for the heores you are facing.

Build:
Q-E-W-E-E-R

Starting items:
Tango - Healing Salve - Clarity - Stout Shield
Core Items:
Ring of Basilius > Boots of Speed > Arcane Boots/ Soul Ring (depending on farm, finish Arcanes later) > Vanguard > Blade Mail
Extension:
Mekansm - Vladmir's Offering - Crimson Guard - Pipe of Insight - Heaven's Halberd
Luxury:
Shiva's Guard - Heart of Tarrasque - Assault Cuirass

He has massive amounts of crowd control so its possible to beat a trilane. Also soul rip benefits alot from large groups.
