Welcome

BRADWARDEN, the CENTAUR WARRUNNER

It's said that a centaur's road is paved with the corpses of the fallen. For the one called Warrunner, it has been a long road indeed. To outsiders, the four-legged clans of Druud are often mistaken for simple, brutish creatures. Their language has no written form; their culture lacks pictographic traditions, structured music, formalized religion. For centaurs, combat is the perfect articulation of thought, the highest expression of self. If killing is an art among centaurs, then Bradwarden the Warrunner is their greatest artist. He rose to dominance on the proving grounds of Omexe, an ancient arena where centaur clans have for millennia gathered to perform their gladiatorial rights. As his fame spread, spectators came from far and wide to see the great centaur in action. Always the first to step into the arena, and the last to leave, he composes a masterpiece in each guttering spray, each thrust of blood-slickened blade-length. It is the poetry of blood on steel, flung in complex patterns across the pale sands of the killing floor.

Warrunner defeated warrior after warrior, until the arena boomed with the cheering of his name, and he found himself alone, the uncontested champion of his kind. The great belt of Omexe was bestowed, wrapped around his broad torso, but in his victory, the death-artist found only emptiness. For what is a warrior without a challenge? The great centaur galloped out of Omexe that day with a new goal. To his people, Warrunner is the greatest warrior to ever step into the arena. Now he has set out to prove he is the greatest fighter who has ever lived.

HOOF STOMP

This is an average AoE stun. Nothing to explain about this really. Use it team fights, but in chases, try to get in front of the enemy before using it, as hitting a moving target is always harder, or so they say...

DOUBLE EDGE

Ah, your lovely DOUBLE EDGE. This deals heavy burst damage, but watch out, as it damages both the target and YOU. However, you cannot DENY yourself and be emo with this skill. It can only be done at MELEE range, and has an area that is also damaged around the target.
Always use it at the start of a gank, as you can't really get a fleeing enemy with this skill, being melee range and all.

RETURN

This is a beautiful skill late game. And as SUNSfan said, the only skill that you can say "Stop hitting yourself, Stop hitting yourself" nonstop. Watch late game as your enemies fall into a trap and kill themselves. Also note that this skill works on TOWERS, and that's why I say that when you have a Heart go backdoor towers, as the regen is not dispelled when under tower fire. Truly an epic skill

STAMPEDE

Your lovely ultimate. It has many-a-uses. Initiating, fleeing, helping your team mates in ganks or flees and much more (not really)! But this skill is really great, and it totally fits the theme of: "Lead your team into battle!"
Stampeding over your enemies is fun as they get hugely damaged and stunned. Make sure to make use of your speed and get all of them before the pretty long duration is over. Have fun with this spell, is all....

This is the traditional skill build for Bradwarden. Maxing out Double Edge first will give nice damage output in any incoming fights, and this time is when it is most useful. Max after that Hoof Stomp. This is a great AoE stun that can't be missed. Early levels of this isn't needed, so it isn't maxed earlier. Return is next as it is the skill that truly makes you shine LATE GAME. The damage output is crazy and best of all you can backdoor towers with this spell late game. Get Stampede at every level possible for obvious reasons.Stats

Items

Starting

Cost: 531 gold

2 Healing Salves provide great healing, and since you have such high HP, Tangoes will go in a matter of seconds. Salves will help you heal quicker.

Quelling Blade is a great item for last-hitting. You can also go for a Stout Shield instead if you think your going up against some heavy harass.

2 Iron Branches are great early stats, but they will go into your Magic Wand.

Core

Cost: 5284 gold

A pretty decent and average priced core set.

Magic Wand is a great item, and pretty standard on MOST heroes.

Hood of Defiance is a great tanking item. Since your Double Edge is magical damage, you get this, similar to a Pudge, to reduce the damage your own spell does to you.

Boots of Speed are standard on every hero except Yasha Luna, so your dumb if you don't get it.

A Blink Dagger is a great initiating and pure mobility item, so this is great for Brad. Stampede is a hell good new spell and this will improve it's lethality

Core Extension

Cost:? gold

A Vanguard will improve your tank capability by a lot physichal-wise. Hood is there for the magical stuff.

An Assault Cuirass is a very good item on Brad. The armour debuff and the attack speed make him very lethal and very tanky. Don't under-look this item.

A Radiance is also a hell good item on Brad. I sometimes get this in my core, just going Boots and this. A very effective item on Centaur Warrunner

Pipe of Insight a very great support item. Heaps of magic resistance for the team, it's perfect for you, 'cos you got the Hood earlier

Luxury

Cost: ? gold

A Heart of Tarrasque is a tank's DREAM. It gives you raw HP and extremely good regen. Go backdoor some towers once you have this and Return maxed.

Shiva's Guard is another tank item, but it gives you also some more Mana, and a nice AoE slow and nuke.

Manta Style is good if your going for a more carry build. Your illusions are tankier than squishier heroes, making them very effective.

Boots of Travel and Phase Boots are your upgrade choices. You can even get Phase Boots in your core items.

Friends and Foes

FRIENDS

etc.

GANKERS

If you go with someone with a stun or a slow to gank, it could possibly be a sure-kill. Gank gank gank.

AoE-ers

Someone that has a great follow-up initiation with huge AoE capability can follow up your initiation and rampage.

DAZZLE!

This guy is great. He will keep you alive no matter what and you simply love him.

FOES

LIFESTEALER

The Anti-tank. I think you know what that means...

necrolyte

NECRO

Being at half health isn't fun anymore

etc.

ANTI-ARMOR

Armor removing spells hate you, and you hate them back

Question Time

Here I will quote some of the questions below and answer them for other peoples sake.
Here we GO!

StevenLK

I think force staff would be a decent item to get on him if you arent going for a blink.

What are you talking about, it's a decent item on EVERY HERO. Like Armlet for Nume

Potm_Plz
Does Return+BladeMail work?

Yes, they do work together.

NlsNightmare
One question: is Return blocked by Black King Bar? Nice guide anyways

No, Return does PHYSICAL damage, meaning it won't be blocked by magic immunity.

andraxxus
u shoud compare it with Axe. im quite positive hes better:
Axe's taunt is more or less equal 2 hes Stun.
Ur "Counter Helix" is much better then Axe's cause it scales with Str.
And Axe's ulti kills bellow 650 and with Scpeter every 6 secs ur does that at 400 any time regardless the victims Hp, cooldown the same, but costs no mana, Axe's does, so ur is infinite, he's not.

and so on..

Well in my opinion, brad is a whole lot better than axe.
He tanks better
And he does what you have said above. I adding a friends and fos chapter soon!

Replays

This game is played by the famous DotA player Purge. He explains pretty well how to play and shows you very well. A must see if you must see something...

More coming soon...

More to be added soon, but please tell me what you think of this stub of a guide to help me improve and add to it.

Thanks, wild
