Introduction

Hello everybody, this is mighty cookie bringing you a new guide, this time we are gonna have an insight of the beautiful redhead Lina, she is a flaming scorcher that likes to summon giant fire dragons at will! she also likes to stun people with her beauty after a small delay. Finally, she is a girl with very fast hands, once she gets heated up. (if you know what i mean). And ends her session with a giant blue ****** that will fry your brains out...... but don't let that cool you off. She is a girl that likes Pina coladas, and go dance in the rain.
Lets give it up for Lina THE SLAYER!!!!!!!!

Pros / Cons

PROS[/color
-insane Burst damage
-can carry a game if she gets farmed up
-very fun hero to play
-can summon a BADASS ***********ING DRAGON!!!!!!!
-'nuff said

CONS
-her ulti brings a temptation to KS
-stun is hard to land
-squishy

counters

Lina counter's invisible heroes to an extent, since she can still hit them as 2 of her spells are aoe. and also, invisible heroes are extremely squishy. your ulti and Dragon Slave can probably kill that Clinkz. so yeah, pretty good. Also, Lina destroys squishy heroes.

heroes that lina can't escape are her worst nightmare. Silences destroy her.
FOES
Night Stalker
Pudge
Bloodseeker
Silencer
Drow Ranger
Death Prophet

Skills

ok her skills are awesome, for those of you who dont know them, they go like this.
skill number one, dragon with **** ton of damage
skill number 2, stun with **** ton of damage
skill number 3, passive that for every of your **** tone of damage spells you cast, you attack and move faster, thus, more **** ton of damage.
skill number 4, giant ****ing blue fire, **** ton of damage.
so yeah she has a **** TON OF DAMAGE, in case it wasn't clear.

Dragon Slave
ok, this skill is awesome, this is a huge AOE spell, it summons a giant dragon that goes in a straight line, it will deal 280 damage to anyone it touches.or 210 damage with standard 25% reduction. also, it says that the range is 1025 units, but it will deal damage to people 1225 units away, so this makes it a fairly good skill to snipe enemies. yeah sure, its not as good as Powershot or Sun Strike, but it's good enough.

Light Strike Array
this is your stun, it deals the same damage as your q Dragon Slave, and will stun in a circle of 225 AOE for 1.5 seconds. this is a great follow up stun and if you can predict your enemies movement, its awesome. also, try to use this skill when people can't see you, that way they will not be moving all willy nilly trying to evade it, its also good once you have your Blink Dagger or Force Staff because people, most of them, at least in low level pubs, dont have the reaction time to evade it. especially slow heroes. its a bit harder against heroes like Queen of Pain but it's possible. so once you get your mobility item, you initiate your combo with this.

Fiery Soul
this is the skill that allows Lina to carry a game, basically, you get a charge that lasts 7 seconds for every spell you cast. these charges give you 85 attack speedand 7% movement speed each at level 4. they can be stacked up to 3 times. So, if you execute your combo, (light strike array, dragon slave, ulti) you are attacking at max attack speed and moving really fast for 7 seconds. thats pretty damn good.

Laguna Blade
umm, not much to say here. your GIANT BLUE LIGHTNING THAT SAYS "BAD *** **********ER" (pulp fiction) so yeah, its a super nuke, part of your combo that can destroy opponents and give you charges. Please people do not use this to kill an enemy that has 200 hp left. that i a waste. You lose a huge potential of a huge spell. I usually go like this for the combo. stun-dragon-ulti. but if you have someone with you, use ulti after the stun, so you get the most out of it. And don't KS with this spell. please. Also, this is a great harassing tool, cause once you are 16, the cooldown is just 40 seconds. so if you see the opposing time, right befroe a teamfight, that you are not sure you are going to win, lets say that your enigma needs 20 seconds for his ulti. Walk up them, be careful, ulti their carry and blink or Force Staff away. that will buy you time while they heal their carry, maybe they even use their Mekansm that will be huge in the teamfight if they have it of cool down.

support build

this is pretty standard, this is the build you go for when you are playing a support lina. not my favourite, but you have to take some for the team. You make arcane boots, drums, mek. You make all the auras and support items. you are a walking fountain with this. as to wether get Blink Dagger or Force Staff, that depends. if you have heroes like windrunner or Rubick, you should just get blink, as they are probably getting Force Staff. if not then get it, as it is an awesome utility item.

roaming lina

i like roaming lina a lot, she is viable for this role, because she has a very good follow-up stun, she can also burst heroes down.i will go on to explain how to roam. At the start of the game, go to the safe-lane with your carry and another support. go check the rune then go into the trees. wait for the opposing enemies to come, then come out behind the trees and kill the one that has a higher priority. a semi-carry or if they are dumb, their hard carry. after that, go pull the creeps, if you managed to stack them, better. that will probably get you to lvl 2 and a half. if you killed the enemy.if they are still that stupid, and come again, kill them again! then go to the mid-lane, see if you can get behind the enemy and land your stun, if not just harass him a little bit. now see where you can go, and keep doing this, making surprises and killing people. get a Bottle or Urn of Shadows for sustain. you make Phase Boots for more speed, so you can roam faster, and Medallion of Courage, becaause the armor is good and it synergises well with your passive. you get blink dagger because for roaming, you need more precision.

semi carry lina

ahh semi-carry Lina, this is pretty good, and lots of fun. you get Phase Boots and Force Staff because it gives you damage, which is what you need. then you choose your carry item, i usually go Orchid Malevolence because it synergises with your other skill, give you good regen, intelligence, and attack speed. Everything lina needs after this you go for a late game item. if your carry is already farmed up, get a scythe, if not, get a Daedalus. The reason you take stats, is because it makes you tankier faster and scarier. gives you more damage and in this build you just rely on your auto attacks from your passive, so you take just one point for the stun. situational are situational, you know the drill here.

shotgun lina !!!!

remember shotgun Morphling? from his glory days? well lina can do the same thing. here you take stats, for more intelligence, but if you need the burst damage form your stun, take it. This revolves around Lina getting a [ethereal blade]]. Why? protects you against carries, slows the enemy, allowing you to land an easy stun, and they take a whopping 40% bonus magic damage, while giving you a good 300 damage nuke, just by using it on someone. so yeah, pretty big. this build is all about getting damage through intelligence, thats why you get Power Treads and Force Staff. then you get your Ethereal Blade and then you can kill anyone, anyone stupid enough to cross ways with you is dead, that ****ing simple. Also, this is a semi-carry build. and only do it if your team needs a semi carry and you have a carry like Medusa on your team that really needs to farm. My favourite build on Lina, it's just awesome. Also, Ethereal Blade gives you everything that you need, health, more damage and a **** ton of attack speed. which if for some weird reason, the enemy didn't die to your combo, you auto attack them to death after the 4 seconds wear out. with your max attack speed, that should be too hard. Late game, you continue to boost your intelligence, get what you need. scythe of the vice or Shiva's Guard.

mid lina

same as other builds, but you just need the bottle. and remember when they said to push the wave before the rune spawn? Lina is the definition of that. she can cleanse the creep waves for lunch. just go stun into Dragon Slave and auto attack the living **** out of them. also, mid is great because you can harass with Dragon Slave and get last hits.
