Totally unrelated but, how do you have the patience to draft such lengthy replies xyrus?

That's why they're under "I do not recommend" rather than, "Never build these". No Kappa. I don't recommend them mainly because HotD is practically Core for it's Lifesteal + Donny the Alpha Wolf. I am aware of the build though. It gives you considerably more Pushing power than the other builds, but I still don't like it. 8{(

It's more about 2 shotting people before they react since 20 minutes in you'll be having 700 damage crits. And it gets even better now because dagger can apply the desolator debuff.

How does it strengthen the build if dagger deals pure damage and you are your team's main phys. dps anyway? Unless it's like pa-venge-sf-slardar -100 armor lineup I don't think this matters, even if you consider it a point target -7 armor spell.

The build is good tho, but only if you get a kind ofsuprise lastpick Pa, otherwise you will get spiked, hexed, fingered, glimpsed etc. because you spent 5k+ gold on a completely offensive build.

Poimt is that you can spread it around easier. You are hitting one guy, dagger another. At that point so early in the game, even Techies right clicks hurt with -7 armor.

Start with Stout Shield and Quelling Blade. Then in lane buy Poor Man's Shield] and Phase Boots and maybe Medalion of Courage, then finish off your core with Vladmir's Offering and then Desolator. Luxury would be Abyssal but sometimes Ill buy BFury to clear creep waves quickly and push fast. Satanic is also great.

alternatively go for farming Treads > Helm > Bfury build.

For skill build, get Dagger > Strike / Blur > Strike / Blur (take the one you didnt egt at 2) and max dagger > strike > blur asap. Grab ult when possible. Sometimes if I just need raw HP istead of evasion ill take stats over blur.

At least for skill builds there isn't a definite best past level 7 since you really want to max dagger first. Core skill build by level 7 is 4-1-1-1 anything beyond that will depend on how hard you're getting pressured and how well you're farming.

I personally don't like deso+vlads, it's primarily a snowball build so if you're doing well and want to end the game early go for it. Especially that deso+vlads build by Bubbles will leave you incredibly squishy so any burst combo can kill you. If you want to get into fights early but still be able to stay alive then...
Phase Boots or Power Treads
Magic Wand
Ring of Aquila
Drum of Endurance
Optional value Morbid Mask

is the build you want to go for while still being able to transition into the later stages of mid/late game well. Above build is much cheaper than the vlad+deso build and makes PA beefy enough to survive early engage. 4700 (+900 for mask) vs 7175 (+1200 for Medallion) for the deso+vlads build proposed by Bubbles. If you're maintaining 500gpm on average, you can get that cheap build by around 13 minutes or less versus the vlads+deso which will take about 20 minutes under good conditions.

Maxing Phantom Strike is also only good if you're not being pressured, 4-1-4-1 is another common build when PA gets pressured. Even then maxing blink strike is only ok since you should be spending most of your time farming or trying to find farm.

still fav build is treads medallion into clads into deso into bkb.

AHEM

With the introduction of Silver edge, what was considered a harder counter only purchased on cores going into late game usually 30 minutes + of MKB, is now a first item for a variety of PA counters for example slark SF and the like. since going Silver edge first is usually achieved by most cores by around the 16 to 22 minute mark this leads to a smaller timing window that PA has.

PA used to have 3 peaks. level 6, BKB, and abyssal blade. when she has one of these she is extremely scary and should be fighting and/or looking for fights at these stages. (side note: PA bf build has different timing windows and whole different play style which isn't conducive to the current meta).

once she achieved lvl 6 she had a massive increase in her damage output. so looking to utilise that was when she searched for kills in lane. once she had BKB the team would look for fights with her ability to jump around and physically burst down supports and once she got Abyssal she could jump onto cores and drag them into dangerous HP levels with a crit or two because she had high evasion she would survive through a lot of 1v1 or 2v1 fights. before the enemy cores got MKB.

NOW her timing windows are a lot earlier and a lot smaller. thus i feel she needs a completely different build up and playstyle. she needs to come online before lvl 6 and she does that by having the HP and some way to boost her damage out put BEFORE lvl 6 so thats why i got treads into medallion. getting good farm in lane you can smash out a treads medallion before 12 minutes easily. i usually go medallion first for the damage output before lvl 6 then treads to help with my hp pool.

this is going to give you a lot early game but you still need to be able to create pressure, by going vlads you can push lanes quite well and you have the extra armour to help with towers. once i finish vlads ill go into deso but i alwasy save the money after the first hammer just incase things go to **** and i need to go BKB instead. if all goes well i usually have treads medallion deso vlads by around the 25 minute mark or the 28 minute mark. then i finish bkb and end the game.

this build allows you to hit the earlier timing windows that you desperately need to hit to have an impact.

then again i wouldnt suggest going this build if your against high magic output.
