Hey guys!

I've noticed the "Latest Discussion" craze die down, so here I am, to stir up some friendly discussion!

Let's talk Rubick.

Notoriously known to turn teamfights around, Rubick is a force to be reckoned with. But how do you handle this Grand Magus?

And, what is your favourite non-ultimate spell to steal?

Fissure. Since rubicks spell steal removes cast point, him stealing Fissure buffs a great spell and turns it into an insanely good one. Also Meat Hook is pretty fun. I like building Soul Ring- Tranquil Boots, then Blink Dagger on him. Sometimes euls, sometimes force staff.
when a thing is done, it's done. Don't look back.

Generally when I'm playing Rubick I'm the only person buying wards, courier, etc. since I'm stuck in 2.6k hell. As such, I have to go the poverty build Magic Wand --> Observer Ward --> Arcane Boots --> Observer Ward --> Force Staff --> Observer Ward, Observer Ward, Observer Ward, Observer Ward. If the game goes well, I'll hopefully get an aghs or blink at some point. (build also includes optional urn).

My favorite non-ulti spell to steal, though? I love stealing Meat Hook personally. When you're against a Pudge, you expect to get raped by a hook out of nowhere at some point during the game. If the Pudge is on your team and suddenly you get hooked, I can almost see WHAT THE HELL?? in your eyes.

I personally play him has a #4, so not as poor. Usually go for a Bottle simply because I'm roaming around looking for kills.

Tranquil >> Bottle >> Soul Ring >> Force/Blink

My favourite non-ult spell to steal is Blink.

Because it's so easy to steal big spells with it, since it doesn't get cancelled by the spell you're trying to steal. Also, double blink means you can Dagger away from Ravage, then blink in to steal it.

Fun times, probably my favourite hero.

The best non ultimate you can steal is probably Fissure, because without a cast point the spell is hilariously unfair.

The most satisfying spell to steal I find (Yes it's an ultimate, but still) however is Culling Blade, because punishing an Axe for diving your fellow support by dunking him is the most satisfying feeling. Like sure, there's something sick about stealing the big spells like Black Hole and Ravage, but there's just something effortlessly satisfying about the massive spray of blood as they get dunked.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Favorite non-ultimate spell : Nether Ward. Your magic ends here :)

Favorite ultimate : Rearm. Tinker uses it all the time so ez steal. He can literally become another Tinker with Boots of Travel. Double Fade Bolt reks creep waves so ez farm, even better than march. Perma-lift OP. And the only situation where dagon Rubick is legit as hell <3

I quite like stealing Shukuchi, sure you can be detected, but it's such a strong spell generally.

The difficulty with Rubick is you need enough farm on him to do the job of the spells you're stealing...but excessive farm on him starts becoming unhelpful from a team perspective.

If you have farm on rubick you can easily set up kills for your team. In that sense you shouldn't get excessive farm unless you only use fadebolt/stolen spells to get the last hit on heroes.

Core Rubick used to be a thing before the Fade Bolt manacost nerf.

What do you guys think of it now?
