I've been recently looking for a carry that is fun to play and effective in the current patch (6.84). I'm open to suggestions of your favourite carry heroes that can stomp pub games.
You can also add different builds or play styles for some common carries such as PA or Sniper that make them more interesting. Looking forward to what you guys come up with.

Spectre is not really in the meta at the moment (or is she?), but Slahser's Way Spectre is really fun and effective. Instead of afk farming, this style focuses more on aggressively gathering gold through kills and assists using Haunt (farming's still important though). Go try it out!

I'd suggest Juggernaut, he may have got bounced around a bit in the last few patches, but he's still a great hero. Very flexible, and thrive ( Blade Fury) or survive ( Healing Ward) in almost any lane. Easy to learn but also has a high skill ceiling.

Lycan.

Or something, since Wolves Need No Armor is quite effective this patch.

Gyro is good too, easy snowballing.

I think she can work in the greedier/more defensive drafts, because she received something like 5 buffs - more assist gold, haunt direct buff, Radiance buff, other things I can't remember. She's not a common pick, but if the other team lacks early dominance I'd go for her any day.

And one major nerf which is that Silver Edge makes her completely unplayable. How are you going to carry without your passives? She's really just Slark food now.

Oh, right, forgot about Silver Edge. Yeah, that is a solid nerf. But I do believe you can dispel it with Manta Style, so there are ways to play around it. I did say situational...

All good suggestions guys. Spectre seems like a good choice for a more passive farmer who stomps late game an Juggernaught is a good all around active hero.
Oh and Sando, Terathiel and Hamstertamer I am a big fan of all you guys. Thank you for making the Dota community better!
Keep those suggestions coming!

I recently started Legion Commander and I find her a very fun hero, so I would suggest her :)

This patch's Silver Edge means you can try to have this instead of the Blink Dagger because it helps you win the duel (you do not only take aways passives but also reduce the enemy's damage output, and the 16 Strenght means more damage for you too). And there's also the eatable Moon Shard.
