I made an account just to comment on this guide. Never played Lina before and very rarely play mid. But ********! I tried this build in 4 games now against and with all different combinations and I absolutely wrecked the enemy team. Average end score 18k gold. 18 kills and 5 deaths, and a ton of assists. Never needed any escape items as I main support so I dare say my map awarness is top notch. And if you are lucky to get decent supports~(Had to tell em where to ward and what to buy throughout the game, but was fun to guide them nonetheless.)~ to help you, then you really don't need the escapes. I played vs a good LC and Axe with shadow blades, blink and the whole package. But they could never get to me. Well done with the guide. (Only read the build order and skill order.) You just have to be very aggresive from start and the rest is childsplay!

This is my fav hero ,hmm i think eul is core for lina :) for escape disabler and easier to kill ,... and scady for icy lina , should u have a shiva guard for more icy like her sister ,... right klik ? Dont worry about it , u are the real queen of pain + aganim u are the real grim reaper
Tranquil boots > for hp regen and move speed to gank on entire map
Euls > easier rape and escape from dangerious skill + mana regen
Scady > all stat + take her sister job(icy girl)
Shiva > hard to be killed, hard to catched and hard be catched by normal atacked
Aghanims> the real nuker !!! Make it as fast as u can for more effectively
The last one items should be for escape , cz u are basicly int and not for tank your team right ? It is ok for u to initator but dont thint to be a tanker

I agree with quite everything you said, especially on skadi.
However, arcane boots sure grants good mana regeneration but I think (as someone else said) that can better be replaced by a phase+bottle. You don't even go for tangos...
Arcane boots can be separated in order to buy a bloodstone, if you don't benefit from that, bottle is better for a middler.
One other thing:
talisman is awesome if you go for veil, but veil often is not needed and while you build it you can pass some bad times in mid against those heroes you mentioned before.
Bracers grants more life that means more presence and exp and can be upgraded in drums that gives stats and boost of attack speed, useful if you build him around fiery soul. A bit situational.
The Orchid is always fantastic.
Blink is often a core. Positioning is fundamental with her and if you get it and you are fast you will not need the force staff (maybe).

Skadi Lina, nice! I saw a guy once get Skull Basher on Lina.. un fckin believable! even though you only get 10% chance, with max Fiery Soul you stun like a Troll Warlord.

Guide could use some formatting..if you put heroes names or skills or item names between 2 square brackets {{lina}} like this but with . [[

Arcane Boots is not that good of a choice, she already has a huge INT gain and you are better off getting Phase Boots for the extra damage and movement speed.

A solid guide, but a little blank without some formatting. I like Clarity more than just regular clarity, but that's just preference. +1

No Tangos? I assume you're getting them from your team, but seems a bit greedy, you can't assume this is enough regen to stay in lane. Would also pick up a Bottle as mid. You should also Dragon Slave at level 3, and then Fiery Soul at level 4 - you don't want to be throwing out level 1 Dragon Slaves as the damager per mana is pants. (1.11 compared to 1.62)

Lina is frequently thought of as a support because 90% of her damage can be delivered without equipment - i.e. all her nukes. This is here standard role, she uses good positioning and can decimate squishy teams as a #4. I.e. not usually warding but helping out with support equipment while picking up some items for herself.

However she can play as a ganker/mid and also transistion to a semi-carry thanks to Fiery Soul, although you should bear in mind that she's not a "proper" carry due to lack of other passives and that her attack speed bonus relies on her casting as often as possible - but this is unreliable if you get silenced or jumped on. It's usual to get Phase Boots here to boost your damage output rather than Arcane Boots.

Bloodstone is useful on her thanks to the massive HP/Mana boost and regen, plus the option to suicide and spawn faster. However, this tends to be a support luxury due to the lack of damage. Dagon = you have lots of burst, this gives you more burst. It's situational but a long way from useless.

Mjollnir - it's not a standard option by any means, but I think the point of getting it would be to leverage your increased attack speed from Fiery Soul to throw out tons of lightning procs.

It's more usual to go Tango/ Null Talisman start (you need all the damage you can get), picking up a Bottle and Clarity potions if you need them. Then on to Phase Boots, Eul's Scepter of Divinity and then Veil of Discord/ Orchid Malevolence/ Scythe of Vyse as appropriate. If you want more damage after that (and don't need a Black King Bar, Blink Dagger or Force Staff) then Monkey King Bar is your best option followed by Daedalus.

Pretty pub build thou as you suffer horribly against many common mids.

You're right about this guide, it has no proper build and more explanation from him but I don't mind about it when I read most of all guides. this is an alternative and situation guide for Lina as it has a lot of potential uses Fiery Soul and spells for transitions into late game, but you're really right. I will still give a try on Arcane Boots because I just liked his new idea. Great work for corrections.

Completely agreed when I played as Lina though I never think about getting stat-based before. Like you said, this is why I don't pick her often in pub games and nobody really cares how much you use the advantages of her Fiery Soul. Simply I would pick Lion if I want to support team. Great guide +1 Loved your transition ideas.
