It's actually very op in certain situation, and can be game-breaking.

Active: With a cost of 50% current hp, deal damage based on difference between current hp and max hp. Which means if you are a Pudge with 5k max hp, after few spam you have only 200hp left. A Dazzle Shallow Graves you and you proceed to deal 4900 AoE damage after a blink, with only a cost of 100hp. Then, since you are now missing 98% of max hp, you'll now have extra 980% mana regen, 196 bonus movement speed, and 147 bonus attack damage. If possible you can deal another 4950 AoE damage 5 seconds later given that you have zero hp regen.

You would have to have 5k HP though. . .

You don't even need 4950 AoE damage to take out 3 supports in a fight. That was just an example of how powerful that item could be.

@pory
Exactly, everyone would perish with just 3-4k dmg, and it's not that hard to achieve with pudge.

I think it would be ok if it was Robe of the Magi Belt of Strength and Band of Elvenskin (Cost would be ~1900 maybe add recipe at around 600 bringing uit up to 2500. Would be an amazing item on Huskar IMO. Gives him bonus damage and movespeed, nukes veryone in the area, and synchronizes great with Berserker's Blood.

The item can't cost 2500 without being heavily nerfed. Like, it would have to deal something like half or a quarter of the damage, and the passive bonuses would have to suffer similarly, to the point where it becomes pretty underwhelming.

And at everyone else saying Pudge;

Would you really want Pudge to farm a 10k item, rather than buy other useful really useful items for a bit more than half the gold? Like, I've agreed that Pudge is the best natural carrier of it, since he has no ceiling to it, but the build up for the item is awful currently.

Because again, if the item's cost was lowered, the nuke would become more underwhelming, which means it would probably become a worse item for Pudge to invest gold into.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Pretty much a Skadi with a pwnage 2K AOE damage active...and then Haunt to clean up...OP :)

But seriously when I read the description I understood "damage BASED on the HP lost", not damage EQUAL to the HP lost...like there would be a percentage reduction or something. Because if it's equal to the HP lost...icefrog pls.

I agree then add also Cloak (since you dont have cloak in there), then just tweak the active to be good for the game (with a similar mechanic, of course), then you have a nuking item that is really good on tanky heroes! (also make the price of recipe higher like 900 or such)

maybe..(just an idea, no hate pls)
Active: 3 True Flame
deal 20% of the caster's max health as damage to itself, then after 1 second the deals damage in the area around the caster equal to the sacrificed health.

Passive: Vermillion Dust
(stays the same except for the 10% mana regen per percentage of missing hp, it becomes 1 mana regen per percentage of missing hp)

@Sanvitch

Dagon level 5 (7720 gold)= 800 single target nuke with 15 cooldown time and 150 mana cost.

Vermillion Robe (9750 gold)= Unlimited max AoE damage (estimated minimum damage of 1500/2200/2500 and so on) with 5 cooldown time and no mana cost.

Yes the build-up is awful, you can buy 2 core from those gold already, but the damage potential is very high, basically you use this item before the teamfight start and jump into the enemies= 2~3 enemy heroes die. The Shallow Grave can't save you from it? Don't worry you can always have a Soul Ring and deny yourself with Rot, but still it's a 4vs2, which it's unlikely that 2 heroes is able to defend the push from 4 heroes. Aegis of the Immortal? GGWP it is 5v2.

Undeniably this item still wrecks even in late late game where average max HP is about 2750, and it's not that hard for a Pudge to get atleast 4k, just keep spamming the robe until you have 1k HP, pop BKB/use Shallow Grave/ Ethereal Blade and go rekt, rinse and repeat.

Possible 4-slot : Boots of Travel/ Blink Dagger/ Veil of Discord/Vermillion Robe
Last 2 slot : Shiva's Guard/ Ethereal Blade/ Black King Bar/ Heart of Tarrasque for more burst and regen/ Soul Ring to troll

I don't see where the comparason with Dagon really proves much - Dagon has a better build up because it's 5 different items (So you get a usable item for the price of one component of the Robe, and then 2 for every other one), and it helps build itself because it directly assists kills.

Whereas Robe's components just sit in your inventory, not helping hugely. And that's horrible given how long they will sit there. The only one that's really value is the Reaver because it makes you tankier, but that's still only a 3rd of the way there. And instead of this, you could build a Sheep stick and be winning team-fights off of it and taking buildings.

What's the AOE on this? Like, the wiki page doesn't say, so unless the AOE is huge, you won't be iniating with this nuke, you'll be cleaning up (Well, counter initiating like a tide or a Mag usually does).

I'll concede, it will probably do well in pubs where the ability to close out games is lacking, and is general positioning, so the item will have a disproportionate impact, but the moment the former has changed the item becomes underwhelming, because the enemy can leverage the time you have no item transition into an overwhelming advantage, and potentially close the game out.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.
