I find the sudden trend of euls... interesting.

I would build this item on SF on PURE FUN. OHKO that pesky Viper is so darn entertaining.

But i find it strange at real games: I dont think that it will pay off to later stages of the game.

This item makes SF a combo nuker.. not a right click carry. Not a type of hero that can maximize the farm speed. Not a... carry.

I dont think it would scale well. The rightclick build i find is more efficient than this.. single target burst monstrosity.

Thoughts?

Get it early before everyone comes online

Proceed to wreck face

Farm heroes instead of creeps

When no heroes nearby, you can go ez with razes.

Get items, towers. Main point being that you utilize your domination.

Conclusion : euls is the anti midas on sf.
Go On, Feed Me.

Think about what Eul's does and what do you get it for?

Cyclone: Use on yourself for defensive purposes, if you have Blink Dagger it makes it easy to blink out afterwards if you got caught out. For offensive uses, it's to catch out out of positioned players and try and kill them. It's still a good CC option so there's that.

Stats: A lot of mana regen to continuously spam Shadowraze and a nice increase in movespeed.

You normally get it for defensive purposes and less so for offensive ones; don't always build it because the pros were doing it. Get it if you're up against Juggernaut is a good example, get it for someone like Centaur Warrunner and queue up your mouse incase he blinks in or ults away.

I can never see a utility item being useless on a hero..

It gives him a setup for landing the perfect Requiem.

It gives him much needed move speed.

It gives him utility/escape in the active.

It gives him much needed mana regen.

SF is a weird hero to me. He doesn't need to build damage or attack speed early because he gets right click naturally through Necromastery. Likewise he doesn't need to build like transitional farming items like Maelstrom or Yasha, since he's a fantastic flash farmer with Shadowraze.

The thing he needs early on is generally surviability, and Eul's Scepter of Divinity is one form of that. It's an extremely defensive option (As opposed to the Mek's aggresive), and is better in slower paced games with more farming involved (Faster move speed and mana regen means more uptime, and there's better gank potential, which is kinda important in farming wars).

It's definately situational, because in aggresive line-ups you want Mek, and there will be games where you need BKB first. But there's definately nothing bad with the item pick-up. Making the most of SF's magic damage is fine, because he does have a looooooooot of it.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.
