Lot of nerf batting going on for the current popular pro-heroes. Hard to disagree with most of the changes but personally I think they need to come out with a bigger overall balance patch and have done with it.

Yes, sure, it's possibly to eventually balance 'uneven' design choices by repeatedly nerfing or buffing them, but I think sometimes they hit these things too hard or repeatedly.

A lot of these Drow, Kunkka, Morphling and PA nerfs seem to have come on the back of large numbers of buffs in recent patches. Sure, there can be an element of going too far and having to back off, but it does seem sometimes like heroes are balanced on 5k+/pro pick/win rates to the exclusion of everything else.

For example Omniknight was hardly picked much for a long, long time. He had small, regular changes made, but very little of note. Suddenly his popularity explodes and he gets hit hard with the nerf hammer.

Fair enough...but doesn't this just show that meta and trends can't be used as the sole barometer of balance?

Completely over the top nerfs. I liked the last patch, but this one is just the typical OSfrog patch based purely on current pick rates and trends in competitive, completely disregarding high level pubs, and completely disregarding overall balance.

- Omniknight nerf is completely unwarranted. Repel was finally balanced, this is just way over the top. And Purification was never OP to begin with and got a massive nerf (the cast range is the only relevant part). Omni is pretty terrible now. Feels more like a "screw that hero" move than anything else...

- outworld devourer nerf is completely unwarranted and over the top. His laning stage was already incredibly mediocre, far below the laning stage of the pre-rework OD. OD as a mid is probably dead, 6 base damage is massive, especially since he can't even use orb in lane anymore.

- Morphling : replicate cast point is completely irrelevant. Morph Replicate cast point is the only thing that matters. It's 100% irrelevant so why even change it. OK for the base damage nerf tho.
EDIT : Muush mixed up the two, it's actually Morph Replicate that got nerfed.

- Batrider can't interrupt TP scrolls anymore, completely unwarranted nerf again. Because clearly Bat's solo kill potential is way too broken...oh wait.

- Riki/Bounty/Nyx : OK, I agree with that one.

- Underlord and Oracle : OSfrog, you DO realize that the only thing OP about these heroes is their ultimates, right? ...Right?

- Drow Ranger : I have no idea why she's getting nerfed as a carry, instead of nerfing the utility she brings to her team and the free damage she gives to her midlane. Why not make precision aura worse in the early game for example? You could make the skill only increase damage by 50% of the current amount, and bring it up to 75% with level 1 ulti, 100% with level 2 ulti, and 125% with level 3 ulti for example. ALternatively, you could make it so that the aura only becomes global range with level 2 ulti, and she has to activate the aura to make it global for a certain time before that.

Overall, patch feels completely out of date. If the entire point of this patch is to nerf Omni/OD, you can only wonder why OSfrog didn't do that, you know, in 6.86.

No idea who we're not seeing 6.89. These adjustments are just making things worse..

Oh man, what a large nerf to Oracle laning.
Arc Warden mid looks like its getting hit really hard.
OD Mid nerfs are adding up and he might be forced into safelane for real, since last hitting on that hero is tough.
Omniknight has a lot of strange adjustments but I guess his winrate is still too inflated. Dude needs an Aether Lens pretty badly now.
Morph's nerfs seem like they are getting to be quite significant, big hit to laning, and a nerf to his insane survival skills. Still might be most difficult carry to kill.
Void nerf was expected.
The flamebreak change pretty much makes killing people as Bat without allies is like even more impossible.
Return fix means that people will actually buy blink on centaur again. Oh boy. That was such an awkward period where people just refused.

Welp. Poor omni. Didn't feel unbalanced to me. And now his kit got nerfed extremely hard.
I don't really understand the decision behind this but I hope there is a reason...like changing the way omni plays patch by patch.

Od on the other hand...RIP

Oh, I messed up big time then. The patch changes the cast time of Morph Replicate, not the normal one. When I saw "Morph Replicate" I thought the "Morph" part was referring to the hero, like "Lina Dragon Slave" or something like that. Guess that shows how much I play Morphling. My apologies. I edited that part in the original post.

Oh okay. It is a nerf then. A small nerf, but a nerf nonetheless.
And me thinking OSFrog was incompetent...

Oh wait...look at this item that didn't get a single change in the patch :

How much does it cost to have +120 HP? 525 gold, a Bracer's cost.
How much does it cost to have 0.65 mana regen? 500 gold, a Ring of Basilius's cost. But raindrop gives +0.85.
Raindrop costs 225 gold.
Seems good.

Nobody think omni deserved a nerf, but i say finally. I mean, 60% winrate across ALL skill levels? Since god knows how long ago?

That just says something to me.
