Hello! I started to play Slark since I don't know why Lifestealer attacks really slooooow rigth now. My build usually looks like this:
Shadow Blade -> Echo Sabre -> Silver Edge -> Skull Basher -> Moonshard -> Butterfly -> Abyssal Blade. I have some questions since I'm not a great Slark player but I enjoy the hero and I want to get better with him:
* Should I consider Monkey King Bar instead of Abyssal Blade? I mean, AB gives 0 dmg while MKB gives a lot and it also gives AS.
* Should I consider Daedalus or maybe Bloodthorn? Are any of these items great in Slark?
* How about BKB? Is a must have item? I mean, Slark is really elusive but silences destroys you.

It depends on the situation wether u get Abyssal or MKB. If you're doing good, youre ahead, and you just want more killing power, then MKB is good. If you notice youre getting dumpstered by basic attacks or mobile heroes, then AB is for you.

Once again, its situational: Daedalus will provide alot of damage in general, where Bloodthorn is better for melting those casters like Bane or Earthshaker you've had a hard time dealing with

Yes BKB is a must. When in doubt, buy BKB. It has a place in the build of every hero, and Slark is no exception. He is easily killed by heavy burst, and AoE spells while in Shadow Dance. Sometimes when escaping with Shadow Dance you need BKB as to not get killed by a Fissure or something. When up against single target immunity piercing spells like Duel or Phantom Strike, Linken's Sphere should be taken either as an alternative or to complement the BKB. Its not uncommon to buy both.

I finally got to try Necrophos in this patch.

Pretty bad hero at playing from behind now, and way worse lane control than he used to have. No more easy dual lane victories.

I guess I gotta hang up the support Necro Glimmer Cape. I was very successful with him too. Gotta wait for rebuffing, if it comes back, like how I completely stopped playing Razor in 6.87.

As a result of the Necrophos nerf as well as Omniknight's buff, Omni's winrate is now 61.3% while Necro is second with 56.6%. Omni's got quite a lead on everyone else in winrate now with almost a full 5% increase. I haven't seen that yet. This guy is getting to be pretty insanely strong in pubs.

Agree. The aura nerf is nothing short of massive. It literally destroys his laning stage, and cuts down his teamfight presence by a ton.

Which is understandable because Reaper's Scythe was becoming pretty broken let's be honest. With the buff making it good at level 1 of the skill already, and the new INT scaling, that skill was pretty much press R win game.

Now that Reaper's Scythe is good at only level 1 of the skill, Necro only needs level 6 and not level 11 though, so support Necro is actually much better than it was before 6.87. Now he doesn't need levels/items more than Lion does. Just a blink and a Ghost Scepter, that's all you need. And an aghs in the late game.

Why 6.87? You mean the fact that Sange and Yasha was killed on ranged heroes making his only remaining viable item build unplayable since the mek nerfs?
I mean personally I haven't played Razor since the Void patch so :)

Necro was so good in that last patch was all. Easy lane wins, owned str heroes in the meta, and all of that. Whenever I picked him as support, it was to autowin against non-kill based lanes. If you get the lane victory, the other pieces full into place. Without the ability to annoy the enemy lane even if you're absurdly far back, that hurts. I guess I gotta default back to Lich for lane winning support and run Necro as greedy 4 or pos 3 offlane farmer as counter to heroes like Timber, Slark, or Spectre.

And I stopped playing Razor not because of the SnY change, but because the only build I liked using, Blade Mail, Aghs, Octarine, no longer benefited a low armor hero like Razor, Blade Mail became an item for high armor/Magicresist heroes, and no longer doing pure damage made it so that you couldn't force people to buy BKB against Razor. Plus, it was a str hero meta, so you can't blow up people as easily, and even though Razor gets stronger the longer he fights, he is not more dangerous than a Slark or OD surviving for a while. Yes, hero has not been very good for many patches, but 6.87 was the first patch I stopped enjoying playing him, despite knowing he's not a good hero.

Isn't it what OSFrog wants to make of Warlock though? Shadow Word's insane new cast range makes him one of the best lane dominators in the game, so if you want a lane domination dual lane support I think he's really the best now. In the safe lane there is no point in denying creeps if you can just pull.
