Shush Janitsu, if we want to discuss serious things on our "post ****" thread that's within our liberty rights.

Most arguments have been explored back and forth, so I won't say anything else there (except that's exactly what I meant, Sanvitch, and maybe my choice of words wasn't the best indeed, Hamster, but the meaning still went through). But on another related topic, I do agree that PA right now is in a really bad spot. Assuming that I think Silver Edge changes aren't enough or needed on their own, what could be done to the hero itself to make it more playable again? Cause I would like to see her more. Also Bloodseeker has been gone (maybe due the need to deathball him since he doesn't farm that well on his own?).

Bunkan told me about what some of you said about making it a real coup de grace, and that sounds interesting. What more could be done?

Silver Edge needs to be purgeable by BKB. There's no way around that. The hero is unplayable unless this gets implemented.

But even this isn't enough. PA got hidden nerfs that cut down her damage output by...actually quite a lot. Abyssal Blade lost 30 damage over the patches, and Monkey King Bar lost 22 damage. That's 52 crittable damage that she lost, so about 26 damage in average with the crit loss alone. And since PA scales only with damage and barely scales with attack speed...this needs to be restored. And I'm not even counting the cooldown on abyssal which also reduces average damage, which is actually even more than that. After a bash, there's 2.3 seconds where no bash can happen, so that's a raw 30 damage loss on all the subsequent Phantom Strike hits. I estimate that PA lost about 26 + a bit less than 30 damage/hit. About 50 damage per hit got lost over the abyssal and MKB nerfs as a rule of thumb. Right now, PA lacks damage, badly.

Personally I want Coup de Grace to make item procs crit. This way the damage from abyssal gets reverted to the old abyssal damage in average and the damage from MKB gets actually increased. Besides, the hero is all about RNG ********, right? XD

The main point is, PA being bad is not just a "meta" thing, she actually got hard nerfs, although it may not look like it. Of course all the raidboss items that make focusing single heroes much harder didn't help.

(BTW just for the record Daedalus on a level 16 PA with helm/BKB deals in average ~65 more damage per hit than Abyssal Blade, while being a way cheaper item with a better buildup. So critalus PA *is* a thing, even if you only get 85% of the crit - which is already really good)

It's not like the forum is big enough to miss anything. Those "on topic" threads, on contrary, have 2-3 responses in them and push some relevant old threads back to the 2nd page where they are harder to find.

Why not go with a Wraith Knight version of Phantom Assassin and give her an activate-able, guaranteed crit on a scaling cooldown, in addition to the already random ones? It might not fix her damaging scaling with items, but used intelligently it should increase her over all output. Plus removes those instances where you're chasing someone down and right-clicking saying 'crit, crit, CRIT, OMG F***ING CRIT' and then they get away because RNG was not on your side.

Interesting. So her output of damage basically is in the dump now. I actually think the BKB change to Silver Edge could be implemented with not much bad consequences to the item itself, so why not, I guess. And if it saves PA... But as Bunkan noted it was a deliberate change that they made in the last patch, so it's not probable that they revert it.

I think the idea on how to save PA is really interesting, I'm curious to see what's gonna happen.

PA doesnt really "need " saving she will go the way of most agility heroes... lots of sideline buffs to small things until she goes from not viable to viable to OP NERF PLS OSFROG.

my personal way of making her viable is to make her other abilities bkb piercing or have her deal with armour in some way. magic burst destroys her early game before bkb because u rely so much on crit kinda sad cause i love me some PA but until she doesnt get swatted like a fly 15 mins into the game i dont think ill play her as much as id like to

It is true that pa her damage is gone by all the smal nerfs. Crit damage reduced from Coup de Grace, mkb, abysall and even from battlefury. Also the Silver Edge just counters her really hard. Or they give her damage buffs or she will needs a rework. Maybe they can make her an early game hero with her base damage increased. Her crit maybe higher, phantom strike on a lower cd with lower levels and blur scaling from (35,40,45,50 instead of the current (20,30,40,50). This will make her an early hero and probably this is going to be the fate of every hero.
