According to dotabuff, Arc Warden literally has the worst winrate among all the heroes, which begs the question: is the hero itself terrible, or do the players themselves suck at playing Arc Warden?

I've had a fairly positive experience playing Arc Warden so far. I've got to say that his comeback potential is enormous; in some of the games I've played I only had around 20 last hits by 10 minutes (due to inexperience in the first few games and strong laners in the others) and I ended with 700 GPM. This hero can push like a farmed Anti-Mage without even leaving base with the help of a Necronomicon and a few damage items. Late game, he does so much damage and can hit enemies in relative safety with Magnetic Field. A really powerful hero, in my opinion.

What do you guys think of Arc Warden?

pls no flamerino, no Kappa

Arc Warden is definitely not terrible, it's just players haven't yet figured out how to play this hero + a lot of casual players who just pick this character without any knowledge of what he is and what can he do and feed.

Arc Warden makes me personally feel like a scientist of some sort, or rather, a part of the big scientific research group. Feels like we study Arc Warden, his place in this game, his builds, his capabilities, his influence on meta, share info and look for other player's experience etc, it;s quite awesome actually.

I think that once everyone figures out the ways of playing this hero(I am sure he is not just a dedicated pusher), this hero will be deemed OP by most of the playerbase even though now they hate Arc Wardens in their team.

Arc Warden is a good hero, the hard thing about the hero is getting the midas because otherwise will farming become pretty hard. The hero seems pretty good to me and I have a positive experience with him if I got enough space to farm that midas. The games I couldn't get a midas were just terrible but the ones with midas were easy wins.

His low winrate is just : he needs farm, is squishy, micro intensif and people don't know the hero well and just play him to try the new hero.

I think he may receive some small buffs in upcoming patches but I think he is fine where he is.

You need at least a little micro skills to play him which I think is why so many people fail with him.
Controlling just a couple of illusions is easy, but havig a copy that can use skills and items requires a little bit of practice. He should be easy enough for Meepo, Chen, Enchantress players I think.

He isn't very hard to micro honestly, at least in my part. But then again, Im not bulldog or w33ha so some may call me junk. Ulti, necro, cycle group, necro, Q, attack. Of course in fights I usually panic and do weird **** like moving my hero to the fray and getting killed or stack Flux on the same hero. He is incredibly squishy with Ember Spirit's base armor. Dimo has a point though, he may not just be a dedicated pusher. I should try Necro->Hex next time.

Flux stacks tho. What's the problem with that?

Whoa. TIL. Still though I think I'd prefer spreading it out.

Lategame yes, since slow doesn't stack, but if early game it just destroys lone targets so you should stack Flux on someone who is far from allies.

I thought necronomicon isn't good on him because auras from the summos don't stack. Then I realized that the archers can burn tons of mana from enemies and the melee soldier is a big damage dealer if he dies so just send the melee necro in aoe enemies' spells and spam q on the ranged necros :)
