You buy sheep when you're facing mobile heroes that you have problems Dooming in the first place because of cast point issues, and octarine otherwise?

Actually you can get octarine as a 3rd item after aghs and blink/shadowblade. Makes you pretty tanky since it's HP and you lifesteal off your nukes...while refresher gives literally zero stats.

For the first time since the patch, I've tried out Leshrac. Due to Bloodstone nerfs, I tried an early Octarine. Had a decent time in the bot game, spell vamp was pretty good in that early point. Octarine doesn't provide enough mana, so I went for a 4-4-0-1 build and skipped lightning for more stats (the EDJE skill build), and got a casual void stone after the soul booster that turned into a scythe later.

Is this potentially a viable new way to play Leshrac? Is Bloodstone still the way to go?

Bloodstone is still fine on Lesh. Still the first item you want to go for, because you still want to have Lightning Spam. Because it's the source of alot his laning presence (Despite the nerf), most of his wave clear, and a significant portion of damage in team-fights.

I guess Eul's into Octarine could work, since Eul's has natural synergy with the hero. Needs some messing around with.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Edje did not create that build, it was one of the standard builds before lightning and towers got buffed

edit: To answer your question, bloodstone before octarine. You want to build up charges and the base mana regen is good so you can spam lightning. Without it you won't have sustained mana. Or you can go Eul's into Octarine if you're behind.

Bloodstone wasnt nerfed enough to completely take it away from Lesh's build. Its still viable as you need that constant, fast mana regen that other items really cant give you.
