So I just randommed clockwork in my last game I played with friends. I would like some people to analyse my game. I did win it but things could have gone much faster and was almost a loss if I didn't manage to scare them away at our almost dead ancient
(partly because my friend playing Zeus is the biggest noob ever even if he is double my lvl in doto).

It was my first time playing him so I didn't know a lot about his abilities. I ended up starting with flare then take the gears then a lvl in Battery Assault and maxing that one first then flare and finishing with the gears (taking ult when possible). I played him in the offlane (and I refused to let Zeus support me while I did fight against Riki)

Here a small explanation about my item choices:

thanks in advance for people who look at the game (and I already know that my flare usage is pretty low)
In love with the random button

Ok i dont have time to look at the full game now but ill comment on your itembuild and skillbuild.
Clock is my most played hero BTW. (not an insane amount since i play a lot of heroes but still...)

You get cogs at lvl 1 since its your escape, as well as nice harassment to burn mana.
At 2 you either get rocket or battery depending on how agressive you want to/can be.

Then you usually max battery assault at 7 since its your main damage source, but you cab go for rocket max if you are really behind, but you never realy want to be in that position and i believe ive never skilled it that way myself.

Max rocket second for some extra damage.

Onto your items.
Bloodstone is a waste of money, you dont need the mana and the item itself does little apart from sitting in your inventory. Also since you have to jump in far you are likely to die some times, which often doesnt even matter of you did your job of splitting up the fight. So you wont hve much charges anyway.

Radiance loses potency later in the game, so dont get it unless you are way ahead and want to screw around.

It might have been a good force staff game since it counters riki and is just a good item on clock.

Blademail was a good choice here against bristle, and because eventually prophet will just outdamage you in cogs if you dont have one.

Aghs is generally awesome, i very often pick it up early, but it depends on the game of you need force blademail or BKB first and how well you are doing.

Heart is good if you have blademail and need the HP to use it properly. One thing that is very appearant to me though is that your armor must have been very low, next time dont get radiance and bloodstone so you can get more armor and mobility.

I essentially agree with Timmi.

Radiance is really bad because the damage is only relevant in the early-mid game. Radiance needs to be rushed or not bought at all. Do you want to deal AOE damage? Mjollnir is amazing on Clock, it's THE item to get if you are the only one doing well in your team to play carry Clock (^^)

Bloodstone is really bad because it's a mana regen item, so you should only buy this item on heroes who need tons of mana regen like Storm, Leshrac, Timbersaw, Skywrath and a few others. There are essentially only 6-7 heroes in this game on which Bloodstone EVER makes sense, and Clock is definitely not one of them. Do you want an item that gives you lots of HP and mana? Eye of Skadi.

Blademail, agha and heart are good.

As Timmi said Force Staff is generally a good item on Clock, although if you really want to counter Riki, Necronomicon is the way to go since it gives true sight in teamfights (and good damage). Necrobook is also a great Clock item, since you can trap people in cogs and have the necro units attack them.

Well something that's useful to know. I did a lvl 1 flare to scout and throw some early damage (the damage part failed) at the safe lane as they were to late for the rune (I was trying hard to block my creeps in offlane). plus I had seen it in dota 1 (I am watching purge's dota 1 fits as I find it way more fun if the heroes class and name are given XD)

the Radiance pick up was pretty soon after drum or after Blade Mail (it could be that I builded blade first) I used it to annoy Riki because I was ahead in the lane. and it gave me a bit of an indication where he was (didn't pay a lot attention to him as the moment he started poking I trapped him and killed him XD). Should have switched it up for more armour now I think about it.

I do think that the Bloodstone pickup saved the game as I managed to scare them away from our 2 hits to death ancient (riki's damage or NP) with the ~40 second reduction on my respawn. (and hamster the times I died was because I was too low on mana after fully killing their team 2 to 3 times. Because teh Slardar was lucky if he could survive using his ult and stun in a fight. Invoker could get a meteor of in a fight all while Zeus was focussing creeps in another lane :/. Io survived only if I survived because when I died he was focus number 2 (because he managed to kill of riki and other low hp target with his spirits XD)
