dibsmid said enough i guess....

but i will also say, warlock is a HARD SUPPORT he can sit on boots with wards and dust after 40mins no prob, hes still helping, maybe a BKB for his slow channelspell...and agha i agree cause u get ur ultie doubled for one...

but i dont agree totally with ur items... DOTA is a TEAMGAME and u dont seems like a man who played with friends, only for u and ur STATS at the end... stats are SOOOO OVERATED!!!

but keep up guy get a few friends and try it with 5 guys out to find ur style better ;8

Thanks for the comments and tips, this is my first guide and really worked for me this build ...

I made this build thinking in damage and fast kill, i don't know if attack speed would be good for warlock ...

The skills can hold the enemy so you can kill, thats the way i think.

About the items ... the core is like a basic thing for warlock, with the protection and damage; Pipe is very good to help you and the team, but its optional to me.
After i get my core i choose Pipe or Skadi, that depends on my team AND the enemy team if you can understand me.

But thanks for the tips, i'll improve my builds ...

Yeah......Warlock is one of those guys that is a Hard Support. Pretty much every support hero can be built as a 'semi-carry', but that doesn't mean that is the ideal or optimal way to build a hero, for yourself and for your team. You will ALWAYS get outcarried by an actual carry.

Upheaval is a fantastic skill, and if you can't get it as a 'semi-carry' warlock, then you are effectively lowering yours and your teams killing potential.

Hood of Defiance gives you good HP regen and magic resistance yes, but it doesn't matter when you have a low HP pool like Warlock does. It won't actually increase your survivability by that much. It builds into a Pipe of Insight which is good, but that is a support item and if you are building a semi-carry Warlock you have to really throw all the chips in to do so.

When you ARE building this semi-carry warlock, I would suggest getting Mjollnir after Deso. Warlock attacks pretttttty slow. Or get Orchid like mah man hades4u said.

I love to give out +1's, but this guide irks me. Sorry man, I dunno if I can do it this time. It's a non team oriented way to play Warlock, and Dota is all about the teamwork.

You have Hood of Defiance for the regeneration and magic resistance, yeah, I'd consider this as situational, also, you should get Aghanim's Scepter better, since it gives you stats and more mana and HP.

Also Desolator, yeah, extra damage, armor reduction, everyone loves that, but you'll always have a carry in your team who can do it better, also your attack speed is slow until you get other items like Orchid Malevolence or something.

It's not a bad guide, it's nice, my point is that his main role is support :p. Still giving you a positive vote though.

My point with the build is make Warlock a killer.
I don't want him to depend on items so much, the core is like support to the skills, if you know what i mean.
The hood is for you survive, the desolator is to kill faster, but using the skills with that.
