Basics

First of all: Pardon my english but I'm not a native speaker so my standard of language might not be as elevated as required.

Bloodseeker can be an amazing mid-lane hero but you should not try this the first times you play him. Mid-laning can give you an enormous advantage concerning level and this is exactly what you need.
This hero ist not the strongest one, neither the fastest or the most intelligent so you truly need to gain levels more quickly than the others.

How to:

Here's the the tactic I like to act on when I play as Bloodseeker

For the first minutes of laining you should buy the Quelling Blade, Stout Shield and some Tango

For level 1, Blood bath might help you not to lose your life so fast, it even restores your hp if you deny your own creeps. This is one of my favourite of Bloodseekers abilities because it restores your hp when enemy heros die in teamfights so it allows you to survive even if you would have died otherwise.

Afterwards, in the beginning laining Bloodrage might help you to annoy the **** out of your ennemies, because they wont be able to cast any spells and they get some damage over time (just watch your mana)
But if you meet some more experienced players they will know about the buff concerning damage this ability gives.
Bloodrage works the best against Zeus, avoid it against Sniper

As soon as you reach level 5, save your mana so that you will have enough for Rupture when you reach level 6

From level 6 on

When you reach level 6, you have to skill Rupture. As soon as your enemy gets too close to your tower, you initiate your attack with this ability. If he's running he is going to lose a lot of life so it will be easy for you to persue him with Thirst which you skilled before. If he's not trying to run, put Bloodrage onto yourself so your damage will be increased. Then attack. If you don't act too dumbly, you will probably win the fight.

After a while if your direct enemy has switched to a different lane because your Rupture - Thirst - combi is just too imba you can start roaming. You might have a good level advantage now so it will be easy for you to switch lanes to help your teammates killing their direct ennemies (you will probably steal the kill often). Also a good reason for switching lane is if you notice you're smelling some poor bastards blood. Thanks to Thirst your movement speed increases by up to 45% when an enemys hp drop below a certain percentage of his or her original one.
This gives you the opportunity to hunt down ennemy heros with very low life that may be unreachable for your teammates because they are too fast or towers or other ennemy heros are in the way. (Don't worry about heros like Bounty Hunter or Riki because Thirst will also allow truesight on the targeted hero.
And even if someone or something attacks you while hunting the enemy, don't forget that your hp will be partly restored by Blood bath after having killed your victim.
Thirst is also a good way to get the flip out of teamfights you might die in

Oh now I've got a nice level advantage!

From now on your further game might be easy to win. If you don't **** up completely and if your teammates don't feed a lot (and I mean A LOT) you will be able to roam around, kicking those ***es with Rupture. Of course you always use it the best to execute low life ennemy heros trying to escape.
From a certain level on, your damage will have been increased in such a way that you will be able to win 1n1 fights against nearly every other hero, be it melee or range hero ( Bloodrage's silence debuff might be very useful against heros just like Zeus who have got very mighty spells to cast or other ones who try to slow you, just like Drow Ranger, because your velocity is your true advantage facing other heros).

After a while you will even be able to destroy towers on your own (well, you might wait for some creeps to take the damage for you). Yeah, Bloodrage is a beautiful ability (don't forget about the damage buff given).

How to survive

Times will come (and trust me, those ones will come) that you face an enemy hero and you are quite sure you will not survive. Now here is the solution (success not guaranteed):
Cast Rupture on him. Now leg it! Either the feller is going to follow you and is losing a lot of his life, so that you can easily turn the tables and kill him (maybe with the help of a certain damage buff?), or he is already aware of what Rupture does and stands still. But now DON'T ATTACK!

In this or that case, you will survive.

Shit, I fucked up early game, what to do now?

Just keep a low profile. Take part in teamfights so you gain EP and try not to die. You can also just Bloodrage to support your tanky teammates a little and finish escaping heros with rupture.

That's how I made a 17 : 5 score out of an 1 : 4 score.
