Hard Carry

DotA2 Hero: Anti-Mage

Antimage || Hard Carry

May 2, 2016

Welcome to my guide to Anti-Mage! Anti-Mage is one of the strongest heroes on the game because of his ability to escape and kill enemies easily. He can also carry the game but needs more farm.

This Guide is made for Beginner-Intermediate players, Good Luck :)

The monks of Turstarkuri watched the rugged valleys below their mountain monastery as wave after wave of invaders swept through the lower kingdoms. Ascetic and pragmatic, in their remote monastic eyrie they remained aloof from mundane strife, wrapped in meditation that knew no gods or elements of magic. Then came the Legion of the Dead God, crusaders with a sinister mandate to replace all local worship with their Unliving Lord's poisonous nihilosophy. From a landscape that had known nothing but blood and battle for a thousand years, they tore the souls and bones of countless fallen legions and pitched them against Turstarkuri. The monastery stood scarcely a fortnight against the assault, and the few monks who bothered to surface from their meditations believed the invaders were but demonic visions sent to distract them from meditation. They died where they sat on their silken cushions. Only one youth survived--a pilgrim who had come as an acolyte, seeking wisdom, but had yet to be admitted to the monastery. He watched in horror as the monks to whom he had served tea and nettles were first slaughtered, then raised to join the ranks of the Dead God's priesthood. With nothing but a few of Turstarkuri's prized dogmatic scrolls, he crept away to the comparative safety of other lands, swearing to obliterate not only the Dead God's magic users--but to put an end to magic altogether.

Items Justification

Starting Items

- Tango, good choice for healing yourself.

- Stout Shield, get this if you know your lane has right click harrassers.

- Quelling Blade, always get this to finish your Battle Fury and it makes your last hitting easy.

Core Items

- Power Treads, Buy this first it gives you stats as well as Treads switch which can save you in situations.
-Red for Health
-Blue for Mana
-Green for Damage and attack speed

- Battle Fury, Anti-Mage needs farm and he don't have farming mechanism and Battle Fury gives it, combine it with blink so that you can farm fast.

- Manta Style, Manta is Anti-Mage's main core it gives you stats and more important illusions, when combined with your Mana Break then Mana Void it can be a devasting attack for them.

- Town Portal Scroll, Always bring tp boys :).

Late Game

- Butterfly, +60 damage and +60 attack speed, good late game item for Anti-Mage

- Abyssal Blade, Gives you Damage Block and Bash ability

- Heart of Tarrasque, Only buy this if your teammate has already bought Vladmir's Offering

- Boots of Travel, Buy this if you wanna tp to your allies directly

- Vladmir's Offering, Good lifesteal item for Anti-Mage because it works with your Mana Break

- Divine Rapier, END THE GAME ALREADY!

- Linken's Sphere, Anti-Mage has great Magic Resistance so why buy bkb? you have this!

- Moon Shard, Want to spend some gold??

Just make sure to last hit creeps and bring heavy harrassers with like Sniper or anyone else.Be sure to get free hits and burn their mana, Most Important Don't Die even at mid stages of the game because dying just delays your farm.

Mid Game

If you have your Core now start joining teamfight and farm carefully. Be sure not to use your manta immidiately instead use your Manta Style to dispel silences which is a good counter to your escape. Split Pushing is your main priority everytime just use your Manta Style to push fast.

Late Game

This is the stage where you stop farming and kill enemies but make sure you got your Butterfly and Abyssal Blade so you can kill them easily.

Getting Situationals

Everygame has situations so don't think situational Items are useless and don't just follow the build, buy situational Items if you feel you need it.
