Also it was one of those strats that proves it's not always what you pick but how you apply your picks.
A very dirty aggro trilane that's easy to pull off would be something like: Lifestealer Visage Shadow Demon, one Disruption + soul catcher should mean a dead hero. You also have Open Wounds Grave Chill to assist in netting kills, with Soul Assumption to secure them.
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

Agreed, it has some nice Lockdown, but there's no Damage until they get some Levels. Against a Hero that can keep them alive thorugh the damage, e.g. Abaddon, Dazzle, Treant Protector, etc. this Tri-Lane loses a lot of power. Since those Stuns have such little duration at lvl1, they're just asking to be turned on and Counter-Ganked. 8{(

Uhh...Thread...this is about AggressiveTri-Lanes. You'd never go Aggressive with a Spectre anyway, she doesn't provide anything useful in Tri vs Tri.

No no no, we weren't harassing them out of lane, we were killing them. That's fine to assume they could just kill the squishy ball, but Bristle turns fights int a cluster****, Aphotic Shield on that very squishy ball also earned first blood. The idea is, they're not going to win exchanges in any lane, the stats speak for themselves. Io provided the boost to secure kills, Aphotic Shield provided more staying power and damage, I mean do you want to deal with a rpaging Bristleback with a shield farting out quills and sneezing all over you? It doesn't look great on paper but it does work.

No, I don't want to deal with the Bristleback, I'll just Nightmare/Banish/Silence/Stun/Root/Entangle/etc. him and focus the other 2! 8{D

True, it's easy to lose with a "good" TriLane and bad execution, and just as easy to win with a "bad" Tri-Lane with good execution. 8{)

Yea it was one thing Improv drafted that had as scratching our heads, but it ended up working, thankfully we shut down the other two lanes handily. It was a pocket strat he was considering and we used it to great effect Mist Coil proved to be very effective in that scenario.

I have a theory on trilanes and I'm probably not the only one, generally, Visage and Shadow Demon mesh very well together, insert carry of choice, and you have solid kill potential. The thing is, the other team can probably see that coming and can just dodge it.

I feel like Mirana + Bane/ Shadow Demon make for two great parts of an aggresive Tri-Lane, because it's got huge kill potential and versatility.

And by that I mean - Mirana has got great versatility, because you can run her as a Core or as a Support. Disruption/ Nightmare gives perfect set-up for a 5 second Sacred Arrow if you need it, which means you can deal a lot of damage, or eliminate someone from the opposing Tri-Lane for a very long time.

Especially since you can combine it with another Support or Core with a Stun of his own, or just a Hero with high burst damage like Visage or Skywrath. It makes for a very aggresive lane, with the potential to have the two supports (If that's how you run Mirana) roam very well.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

There's Xyrus' old Mirana - AA - Shadow Demon trilane, which is as sickening as it sounds!

I also like experimenting with whacky trilanes. I was doing a drafting/counterdrafting exercise with myself, and ended up with a Veno - Dark Seer - Morphling trilane against a solo safelane Doom with a roaming Shadow Demon and Mirana. Moral is, don't be afraid to draft odd heroes in odd positions in an attempt to shut down their cores.

Of course, an aggressive playstyle doesn't have to have aggro trilanes. If you have a solo offlane carry like Lone Druid or Phantom Assassin you can draft up mid Night Stalker with a defensive trilane of Slardar, Shadow Shaman, and, yes really, Bloodseeker as a #4 support. This is a draft that is extremely aggressive early on with the ability to take towers whenever it wants thanks to Shadow Shaman. Bloodseeker can pull, stack and jungle to get level 6 and of course to provide the carry some farm for later. When he hits level 6 their offlaner(s) had better be REALLY careful or any bad positioning results in their death. I tried this once as an experiment (namely the Night Stalker - Slardar - Bloodseeker combo) and while we lost that game it was due to our inability to push, hence the addition of Shadow Shaman.

In short, sometimes whacky drafts are a good idea. A lot of the benefit of doing weird things is that the other team never sees them coming, which gives an advantage.
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.

Actually, the combo for me is Mirana - Ancient Apparition - Rubick. I prefer to go offensive with Telekenesis than defensive with Disruption. Both are pretty sick though. 8{3

You never know what's going to work until it works...or doesn't, what's important is figuring out why it did or didn't work. 8{)

An aggresive tri lane will usually consist of a nuker, someone with mana regen, and a carry.

My Ideal Aggro Tri-Lane would be Lina , Keeper of the Light, and Wraith King.

Lina can harass and nuke the hell out of them with Dragon Slave and Sunstrike Array. KotL can keep using his Chakra Magic on Lina so she can keep nuking. Wraith King can stun them with Wraithfire Blast and while they are stunned Lina can use Sunstrike Array. Then to top it all of KotL can use Illuminate. Also , Wraith King gives lifesteal to Lina and KotL to help them keep their health up and works very well because Lina and KotL have pretty small attack ranges so they will stay in reach of the Aura.
