I noticed that the team here at DOTAFire tried to cover a lot of stats for the heroes in the database, as well as items, but it is still missing some statistics that players should start learning as well. I know that most players do not even pay attention to stat growth, but those who actually read them may not know about others and it would be nice to have every reference here at DOTAFire.

What is missing:
  • Base Attack Time
  • Missile Speed
  • Sight Range (Day and Night)
  • Attack Animation Time
  • Casting Animation Time for Abilities

Thanks guys!

Agreed, nice work, could we have suggested items?

I'd also like to add those little hidden tidbits that some heroes have in their skill-sets. For example, Pugna can use decrepify on his Nether Ward. Perhaps some sort of tips section that outlines information for playing a hero and playing against a hero.

I don't know if you two are trolling me, but both of what you listed are definitely opinionated and should be covered by guides. I am talking about variables that are constant about the hero regardless of what happens in a game.

I don't see how including items that are suggested in game currently could added to our hero database is at all a trolling idea.

Just an idea. Might stick in peoples heads when they read about the hero and think, ohh he gets dagon, must be a ganker.

What Loveless suggested is purely mechanics, suggested items is not as important imo
T-up for Loveless suggestion, it might not look like much, but it's always good to know, also include attack range as well maybe (some melee heroes have a bigger reach than others :p)
And maybe also add the small comments from playdota.com for each/most skills, like for example I think Primal Roar should have a note in it's description saying that the stun goes through magic immunity (bkb, repel), stuff like that :P
Chaos moves at it's own pace.

For me, what stuck in my head was this: Morphism suggests dagon on at least one hero, he must be an idiot.

I need not defend myself against a child like yourself saladsandwich. Dagon is certainly a plausible item on several heroes in pub games.

Please don't make personal attacks, Ham.

That isn't a personal attack, who would ever suggest a Dagon to a new player, getting him into that style of play. It loses more games than any other item in the game. I would rather a new player buy nothing but recipes than purchase a Dagon and upgrade it, effectively spending what, 7000 gold?

Please Morphism and Atlas, you sit there like the guy is out to get people on a personal. It's not he is attacking your statements or anything. People can debate however they want and he is more so coming he for the amusement at this point.

And no, I am not kissing his ***. I am more ashamed with saying that I stuck up for Morph's opinions and now here we are, with him recommending Dagon on Gankers and wanting it to be posted onto the hero's base mechanics and unchanging statistics. Just, no.
