well patch 7.06 has been released and one of the things that no one really discussed was the desolator's BIG change. now heroes who could not build it in previous patches can build it freely heroes like Drow Ranger, Huskar and Techies.
she has always been a pusher, not a good one though. but patch 7.06 changed it a lot. traxy has a great damage steroid and all she wanted was some nice armor reduction to destroy towers and her enemies in a blink. What do you think?
Yep, Huskar. He always relies on the magical damage more than physical but patch 7.06 changed it. now you can build Dragon Lance+ Desolator+ Satanic to have a very strong impact in the game and also PUSH! yes don't call me insane.
250 damage is Huskar's usual damage in mid-late game (if you build AC and HH 200) now combine it with his insane attack speed and the armor reduction. yes he can not push like TB or lycan but if Drow Ranger is called a pusher just because of her ulti, Then he can be called a better pusher (who can resist better in anti split push ganks).
Right click Techies has always had its own fans. 700 attack range combined with a Dragon Lance turns techies into a great sniper. For right click techies fans who are still celebrating because of his change in his lvl 25 talent (+250 damage) there was always a big problem, blood stone could not tank them in the way they always wanted and since desolator didn't stack with life steal those days, they just had to stick with it but now they can tank with Satanic and desolator and build a moon shard after it, root their poor targets and take away their lives.
Well what do you thing in you agree, say it and mention the thing that i forgot. If you disagree, say it shamelessly we are all grown ups here (well most of us)

The problem with pushing Drow would be that she has no escapes. Most strong pushers not only destroy towers fast, but can also get out fast if they TP to defend. Think Shapeshift, Replicate, or Teleportation. Many strong pushers also have insane DPS if the enemy decides to defend, and heroes like Tiny or Terrorblade will melt any non-carries trying to defend.
Hero DPS and EHP Spreadsheet coming soon.

Desolator not stacking with Frost Arrows has never been a problem. Frost Arrows doesn't work on towers so it doesn't change anything about pushing. Against heroes you could just orb walk them alternating modifiers, yet no one built Desolator anyway.

This kind of change reminds me of past threads about what if all UAMs were removed. One of the most repeated concerns was that Eye of Skadi would break Anti-Mage and possibly Outworld Devourer (hint: he could already use it by orb walking, just like Drow Ranger, and didn't). Both can build it since 7.00. Nothing significant happened yet.

The thing about Desolator imo is that 1) every living being's armor only increases over time, so you must rush it to make the most of it; and 2) if your hero isn't a natural pusher, removing 7 armor from a tower won't turn them into one, so pushing isn't a good reason to get one late. The only heroes I could see being affected by this change would be:

- Heroes who could rush Desolator and make good use of it but needed another non-stacking modifier more. That would mean Desolator wasn't really worth it for those heroes. I know some people are thrilled about Huskar, and maaaybe he's the kind of hero that fits this criteria, but isn't most of his damage magical anyway?

- Natural Desolator carriers, who by definition fall off late game, but who could stay relevant by buying Satanic. Does that really happen, though?

It definite benefit Phantom Assassin as you must rely on the lv15 talent or Vladmir's Offering to lifesteal. Generally people like to try out Desolator on Drow Ranger but it is only viable on her when you have many people to protect you as Drow Ranger with Desolator+ Morbid Mask is squishy AF. If you get the Hurricane Pike first then you would miss the best timing to get Desolator.

Thx i was just saying my opinion so be nicer if you can. and yes drow deso sucks but i still say it,deso Huskar with AC and Satanic is very good and about right click Techies, Why the **** you guys who had never tried it say ********* about it. I get it you need more explanation that's why me and a good friend of mine are working on a guide to Techies that describes both right click builds and mine builds so wait for it.
