Zeus will give you the most reliable results if you're not against 3+ tanky heroes. The guy exploits pub mentality better than everyone except Spectre. He can also be played in Pos 2-4 pretty comfortably.

Also, since I run into Spectre a lot, I've been picking offlane Doom, the secret shop camps stop him from being completely zoned out now, and Aghs Doom wrecks her badly. He's not as good agaistt Invoker because he has instant cast point.

If you want to raise mmr from lowpub-scrubby land why not play legion commander and mute your team. Like play here everywhere jungle, mid, safelane carry, oflane,... Muting your team is not always needed but once the flames start just mute them and ping when you want to duel.
Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in it.

And still every dota player flames someone else instead of himself.

{POLL HERE!}
Hmm... Zeus and Templar Assassin seems to be pretty close, so I'll probably go with the one I have more experience with, which is TA.

Great! That's 3 heroes locked in.

Community Poll #3: Anti-Mage, Morphling, or Spectre?

I have by far the most experience with Morphling (I actually have a half-finished guide on him), but Anti-mage and Spectre seem to be pretty good in pubs.

According to my playstyle i would pick Anti-Mage, because i love farming and creating space while my team fights, until i have everything i need. Same reason Sven is my favourite hero to use and i'm training on micro Naga Siren until i feel like i can play her well enough to bring her to the table.

Spectre is really good at farming through early teamfights, and is the best scaling hero in the game, except maybe Medusa.

i don't know much about Morphling, so if anyone can share some thoughts, that would be great.

Well the one problem with Anti-mage is that you won't always have a team to fall back on.
The problem with Spectre is that her laning stage is soooo weak.
And the problem with morphling is that he needs a team that pushes.

Pick invoker and all your problems are solved. OD works to a lesser extent.

Kappa.

If you ask me, the hero that is the least reliant on your team is AM, since he mostly split pushes and your team can do whatever **** they want as long as your enemy is not 4k or your team is not complete **** feeding enemies left and right.

{Alright, I think Anti-Mage take it. That leaves one more hero for the pool, pos.5.

so far, we have:

pos.1: AM
pos.2: TA
pos.3: Puck
pos.4: Lion
pos.5: ???

I'm thinking along the lines of KotL, Dazzle, and Jakiro. What do you guys think?

sofa please pick spectre, She is imba and wont be nerfed into oblivion in any scenario. Get urn in lane and with just on support you can make things work for you. Just look BADMAN (or moi poor scrub) games and you will realize that she is the best hero and the only hero that's got balls this patch even if she aint got balls.
Plus she is a comeback hero. Even if you fall hard later in the game you can allow the other core to take position1 and spread chaos with double ulti, heaven halberd and lotus orb. You gotta try this build with crimson guard. Then tell me if I am wrong
