looking at the coding

octarine core only works on "Damage"

so basically anything that isnt included within the "damage" spectrum isnt allocated to spell vamp.

Necro's ULT is DAMAGE.

his passive is an AURA.

therfore it wont be allocated into spell vamp.

but heres the kicker.

spell vamp happens AFTER the final damage is done. so any magic amp effects ALSO affect your eventual damage so

SKY with his magic amp with shadow demons magic amp and then u necro ult.....

helloooooo full hp FROM NOTHING.....

It interacts in strange ways though, like moon glaive bounces lifesteal on luna, but only the bounces.

Maybe the Luna thing is a bug, like you said, because it doesn't really make sense. Like Smuggels said, Auras and Passives aren't considered magical damage, and the way the item works suggests it - if you have a "Radiance" lifesteal in Necro it can be OP. But speaking of which, Radiance gives magical damage per second, will it be healing per sec also with Octarine Core? :D

It isn't magic damage that heals, it is spells. This is why Bristleback is going to be OP with it, as Quill Spray is physical, but a spell and so you get the lifesteal off it.

So glaves of wisdon is technically a spell, but a passive. So if Heartstopper Aura doesn't work i assume this will be patched out as well.

Item's are not affected by it, so no lifesteal Radiance.

EDIT: Turns out Heartstopper Aura is HP removal and so doesn't do damage, that's why that doesn't work. Other damaging passives do. This explains Glaives. The initial hit isn't using the spell, but the bounces are. Maybe not a bug.
I also saw some post saying Radiance works, but i don't think it should as it isn't a spell or ability, it is an item...

OMG you're right! "Restores the holder's health by a percentage of the damage they deal via spells", so Radiance should not work.

If this is true, indeed Bristleback will love it.

I saw a vid in the test client.
lvl25 Bristleback with Heart of Tarrasque, Assault Cuirass, boots and the octarine core vs:
5 lvl 25 Sven's with 3 hearts and 3 brances (i dunno...). They all activated Warcry and God's Strength and went to town on Bristlebacks back.

RAMPAGE!

Thing with Bristleback is, with all the new "Break" things, he's going to be so underwhelming if anyone buys a Silver Edge or something.

You're gonna need disable to deal with Bristleback, and probably ignore him im teamfights until you've killed everybody else (which is already the way people should be dealing with it, anyway).
