Why change the catapult at all? It's only use is to help push towers every few waves. It doesn't need some pointless, all random, rage-inducing buff.
No offense, but this is a stupid idea
We were just doing this for a bit of fun though. It's pretty fun to add or remove things from the game to think how differently it would play out. Also, I hardly think Valve is going to come round and add this to the game any time soon. So... what's the problem?

What you just wrote is an offense, so don't try to fix it.
How about recent changes to Roshan? His spawning time is quite random and you think it's pointless?
Most of us agreed that stun is too much, so a minor slow or Damage over Time (short and unsignificant, also with a small chance) could be an interesting change. It would confuse new players even more, but maybe it would encourage them to learn more about controlling lane creeps aggro, so they won't be killed by them in a stupid way.
Well in the idea from a stun would sure make sense if you got hit by a giant rock then sure you would be stunned so the implement would mean more skill would be required however the siege creeps target towers and other siege creeps first so you it would be the lowest possible chance in the game due to everything that has to happen in order for that 1 seige creep to target you. I believe that if it was tested first and if it seemed to low of a chance to worry about all game then sure.
