title says it all pretty much.

i havent lost a game yet where i went this duo. ive played against trilanes and dual lanes and ive only given up like 2 deaths. in one case me and lich both got lvl six as a full 5 man rotation happened ontop of us and we turned it into a 4 for 1 with me dying :( but all 3 cores died. this is honestly the most painful duo i can think of in terms of harass and kill potential.

is this the best duo offlane?

thoughts?

Well I mean, it's combing a hero whose entire purpose in life is to win his lane for him and his partner pretty hard, with one of the actual best laners in the game, both of whom are really annoying spammers. It's not a surprise that the lane is painful to play against.

I think there's better offlane duo's however. Like, Lich is still an incredibly passive hero who doesn't bring that much to Undying's dives beyond armour. (He punishes the opponents being over-aggresive really hard however with an early point in Armour. But anyone who goes aggresive against an Undying lane early is asking for that to happen anyway).

Whereas dual offlanes of like Io - Undying, or WD - Undying are scarier I think, because you have more sustain, which lets you dive more readily, and thus make the lane harder through active pressure, rather than the lane constantly pushing towards you as Lich causes. Like, keeping the enemy core from getting good farm is good. Killing him repeatedly because you have massive amounts of sustain is better.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

i think its more painful because lich has a spammable nuke and with decay his nuke hurts a lot more. also at level 2 your looking at only decay and tombstone so you cant really deal burst damge but with lich you have the burst and the slow then undying does the rest :P

i think the strength of the lane lies within sacrifice. why dive when you dont have to? with sacrifice the lane is constantly up near your tower forcing them out towards you for xp or farm.

Lich auto wins you a lane.
So does Undying.

So putting both of them is a lane doesn't make sense. :D

Omniknight + Undying sounds ridiculous.

thats actually a really bad lane.

they are both melee, both have slow ms, both are mana dependent. i wouldnt draft that ever. sorry sofa. lich doesnt "auto win" you a lane. good pulling and a single stun and you have a dead lich. undying is a bit harder but he doesnt "autowin " you a lane. no hero does. but lich and undying together both cover the other and provide what the other lacks. ive even faced an undying omni lane before and i won... then again i was a solo silencer safe lane :P

not really, there is so much you can do. in fact repelling him is probs the worst thing u can do. i would have said allow him to run at them take damage get close use heal then repel. still thats a very dumb thing to do. im going to run at you guys ok pls stay still thanks. id go Axe dazzle and enjoy the kill gold. or a drow visage venge line up kill at lvl 1 then rinse repeat.

you need balance, those two are like hey lets go win some trench tier pubs because people have no idea that attacking a repelled undying is a dumb thing to do. lich provides wave equil he can sustain harass with sacrifice, undying can maximise the damage out put of the harass.

i personally think that undying lich is super strong, but then again a lion venge leshrac aggro trilane is super strong as well lol.

@sanvitch...

i most def will try IO-undying.... that sounds painful lol

Its a strong duo, especially in pubs where lane dominators are hard to deal with, which they both are. Even later i the game people have trouble avoiding Tombstone and Chain Frost. There is some nice synergy there too, with them either needed to run and get zombified or group to kill the tomb and get frosted.
The only thing is, they dont push, sacrifice keeps the lane back, and although you can just kill the creeps and dive it makes it a bit weaker.

A combo i really like is Jakiro Undying. It has a lot or harass and spam with Liquid Fire Decay. the tomb is almost impossible to kill with all the attackspeed slows and Ice Path.
They also pressure the tower hard and have good chase potential. So they cant be ignored by putting 1 hero againt that lane, or avoiding it.
A farming Jakiro with an Undying who gets early gold due to towers is also more capable of keepint the pressure up and ending the game early or atleast starving the enemy. sacrifice stops being a big deal outside of the laning stage.

Still, its a good duo, but can be worked around.

i actually really like that, its DoT but it works espcially with the push added makes it either a lane against me and slow us down or dont and we take towers. will try /10

It's a pretty nasty dual lane that, it's possible to play around it somewhat though:

- Get an early kill, they have no stuns yet, Lich has probably levelled Sacrifice first so no slows either.

- Stay spread out. In lanes against Undying it's really important to stay split so he can't efficiently get Decay stacks.

- Make him waste his mana, again with the low effect Decay, threaten to go on them to draw out Tombstone early. Expensive and long CD.

- If the worst comes to the worst, leave the most survivable hero to soak XP while the others go do stuff elsewhere.

***

Jakiro pretty nasty too, but you're still reliant on UD's mana, and levels for both. Io can really work. I like KOTL a lot too.
