Lore

As the headmaster's footsteps faded from the corridor, two figures dropped the joint invisibility spell they had spent the last month perfecting. No sooner had this been accomplished than one of the figures turned to the other.
"Az, are you sure this is a good idea? It's the one place in school where your dad won't let you go, so there's gotta be a good reason for it!" the voice (clearly female) expressed the doubts that had plagued her mind since the plan's conception.
"Exactly. That's why I have to do it! If I intend to take responsibility for the school when father retires, I must know every nook and cranny in order to be effective, see?"
"And if he finds out about this...?"
The man grinned conspiratorially.
"Well then, I'm a bit screwed."

And so it came to be that the two mages found themselves outside the enchanted brass doors that guarded the forbidden chamber of the school. A common rumour being passed around was that the Grand Magus himself had come out of the doors looking nervous. But of course, all of his...Ahem, avid fans claim that this was all false, and that nothing could faze the one man who took on multiple master Magus at once. Then again, these same people had full size posters of the man strapped over their walls, and constantly tried to dress like him.

It is a small wonder that Rubick decided to copyright his mask.

Several minutes of admiring the craftsmanship of the neat defensive enchantments later, and the young prodigies had swung open the door, with nary a sound. The female voiced both of their concerns.
"For a very forbidden room, that was...Not guarded particularly well. Almost as if someone wanted us to get in on this single night. We should turn back, while we can."
Azariah wasted no time in responding in an annoyed tone
"Come on Ishara, we can't back out now! It might be our last chance to do this. Think about it, we could discover some ancient magic or a super secret artefact"
Little did they know, their legs had moved of seemingly their own accord whilst they were distracted, coming to rest in front of what looked like a coffin: wrapped in spell-binding chains and surrounded by chalk seals to ward off malefic sorcery.

They both stopped moving as their toes barely avoided the first white ring.
"What!? How did we get down here without noticing! Ok, no, I'm done, Az. I'm going back, I'm not gonna get in trouble for y-..." She paused. The man in question was stood stock still, staring intently at the coffin. Then ever-so-slowly, he raised his hand to touch the smooth surface.

Azariah couldn't believe it. He could sense the sheer magical power emanating from the sarcophagus. There was a niggling voice in the back of his head; unnoticeable at first, but then suddenly yelling, shouting to be let free of it's prison. The desire to free the poor creature consumed his mind for just long enough for him to rest his hand on the buzzing coffin.

Pain. Searing, white-hot pain filled his mind. The...THING he had released was slowly burning away at his brain. Maybe...Maybe if he were in a more open area it wouldn't hurt so much? Somewhere in his subconscious he heard someone screaming his name. It hurt. The pitch was too high. Make it stop...MAKE IT STOP!

That was his last conscious thought before blacking out completely.

He woke up. Where, who, what was he? Easy. He was Azariah, god of the world... Wait, no... Not yet. He was Azariah, SOON to be god of this pathetic planet. Just the thought filled him with pure euphoria. Yes...Yes, he would bend these creatures to his will, and nothing would stand in his way.

Skills.

D: In-built passive: Gathering power
Every time Azariah casts a basic ability, he gains 1 stack of
Gathering Power. At 4 stacks, he may activate this ability to grant his
next ability an additional effect.

Q: Bend magic (Passive/Target enemy))
Azariah passively gains extra mana when hit by an enemy spell.
He can target an enemy with this to instead convert some of
the enemy's health into your mana bar. The mana gained is equal
to half of the damage dealt. The passive effect is lost whilst
the ability is on cooldown.
Damage type: Magical
Passive mana per spell hit with: 25
Active hp damage: 100/150/200/250
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15
Mana cost: 25/50/75/100
Gathering power effect: Mana gained is all of the damage dealt instead of half

Spells intended to harm Azariah often find themselves helping more than hindering.

W: Malefic Sigil(Target Ground/AoE)
Azariah places a rune at a target area. After a small delay, the rune
explodes, dealing minor damage, and placing a mark upon enemy heroes
hit, lasting 3 seconds. If they are damaged by Azariah during this time,
they consume the mark to take a % of max hp as damage
Damage type: Magical
AoE: 350
Delay: 2
Initial damage: 75/100/125/150
% Of max hp as mark damage: 4/6/8/10
Cooldown: 25
Mana cost: 125/110/95/80
Gathering power effct: the delay is moved to 1.5, and the mark
deals an extra 4% of max hp damage.

The wards which once kept his magic trapped can be quite useful
in combat.

E: Arcane discharge (Target ground, AoE)
Azariah targets an area which lasts for a duration. During
this time, random bolts of damaging and ministunning lightning fall from the sky,
up to a cap. An enemy can only be ministunned up to two times.
Damage type: Magical
AoE: 425
Maximum bolts: 5/6/7/8
Time between strikes: 0.35
Damage per bolt: 35
Ministun: 0.2
Cooldown: 17
Mana cost: 150/140/130/120
Gathering power effect: + 2 max bolts, AoE set to 450, time between strikes
set to 0.3

The ruins of his old school still burn with sizzling energy from searing
arcane lightning

R(a): Pure energy (Active/AoE)
Azariah briefly channels his maximum energy, setting his
Gathering power stacks to maximum, restoring 50% of nearby
ally's mana, gains double movespeed for the duration, and
having the opportunity to cast "Scorched Skies" once.
Duration: 5/6/7
Cooldown: 100/95/90
Mana cost: 25% of maximum mana

The ultimate magic has been released...

R(b): Scorched Skies
Azariah channels his ultimate power for a millisecond, bringing
a massive amount of energy onto a small area, dealing heavy damage and
dragging all targets hit halfway towards Azariah (Think Reality Rift), then slowing them.
Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter
Damage type: Magical
AoE: 250
Damage: 350/450/550
Delay: 1
Slow (%): 30/35/40
Slow duration: 2/3/4
Aghanim's Scepter effect: Damage now ignores 15% of magic resist. Slow
duration also increased by 1.5/2.5/3.5
Gathering power effect: Delay is now 0.5, and the AoE is changed to 300

And nothing is going to stop it.

It is done! What did you all think of it? I for one think he's still a little OP, but what is creativity if I can't go nuts every now and then.

Dude, you said 'enemy CHAMPIONS'

This is DotaFIRE.

Fr the actual HERO itself...

For the move order...

Q is usually a offensive spell that does damage, so maybe swap it with W?

W: Every time I damage them it's 10% of health? Or is it only once?

Meh, I always thought he was a pretentious git.

But then, Tezzeret/Bolas/Sorin are more my kinds of characters.
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.

Ok no. I'm going to bump this cause nobody actually really gave feedback on the hero, just spoke about the image I used for him.

Normally I wouldn't bump this, but I worked a LONG time on this guy, and he got very little attention.
