Post-techies doto : the return of AFK doto?

Don't get me wrong, Techies are pretty good in the first 5 minutes of the game since they can basically one-shot unaware players, plus their ultimate counters early five-man pushes when there's no true sight. Another thing I could say in their favor is that pushing a tier 3 tower is still difficult even if you have true sight, because the bombs planted on the high ground are much more difficult to destroy; the same applies to Roshan.

I'm still waiting for Abyssal Underlord though.

I was really upset when they released Techies instead of Abyssal Underlord. I'm certain that HE is a hero that will change the meta with his introduction. Dat ult.

He cannot be picked at all in CM just because that ult. He was enabled in 6.66 and then disabled for 4 more years to come. Dark Rift is just way too overpowered.

Yeah you can throw a statis trap in the middle of a teamfight and suicide if you have too.

Please. Dark Rift is not a rat dota ability. It has far more uses than that. Ganking, defending, pushing, counterganking. It's got just as many applications as Boots of Travel and the fact that it's on Pit Lord whose other abilities are teamfight-orientated suggest that if it's just a rat ability you're doing it wrong.

I'm interested to see how Underlord offlane will go, actually.
