It was a rather gruesome affair one I, being the drafter, probably bear most of the blame for. But rather than get discouraged, I see this as an opportunity to improve! So, I've decided to turn to you guys for your input and insight. If you're one for grim details, you can download the replays in the client (Simply look for "Learn Dota 2 Spring League") or you can just ask Safecyn to give you a recap.

Since there are folks here more knowledgeable than I am, I seeking advice and if you have tips and helpful tidbits to offer my teammates, please do give it.

Well, firstly, don't do dual lanes, especially with heroes like Chodehunter and Natures.

First game, you were pretty outdrafted. TA can beat QoP mid by easily pressing Meld to dodge the dagger, and Dark Seer will make Sven's life hell. Not to mention, you had basically nothing aside from Lion that could potentially lock down the Slark.

Second game, the Wraith was well and truly diddled by a PL and Nyx. I really don't know why you'd pick him into that lineup - honestly, you'd have probably done well with a momentum rat carry like Anti-Mage or Terrorblade. Not to mention, their lineup is great for pickoffs. To win that game, you needed to force as 5 early, except you had no push so couldn't really do that. There was no way you'd win late teamfights.

As for general drafting advice, if you're the first pick, don't ban Invoker or Outworld Devourer - make THEM waste their bans on the heroes if they don't want to deal with them.
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.

I was pretty limited in drafting since our carry has a rather limited hero pool at the 1 positon (we're going to be mixing around the roster before the next match), so we were sort bottlenecked into doing certain strats, I hope to get the roster sorted out so I can maximize the hero pool.

I'd certainly appreciate that smuggels.

Hey Fed. I have a few comments.

I was watching these games as Cyn casted them. First, your QoP in the first game has comically bad farm. 44 last hits in 25 minutes is just not acceptable on a Pos 2 QoP under any circumstance. QoP also had the advantage mid and I haven't a clue why the TA won. I'll assume that player is not comfortable with that hero.

Also, on the subject of your carry player, they probably need to be more adaptable, since being able to only play melee carries is a bad sign. It lets picks like Dark Seer just walk all over you. Or having to pick WK against Nyx when PL was still a viable pick since you didn't have any hard AOE yet.

As I was watching you play, there was many points where your offlane probably should've been able to take the lane, or at least survive it, your rotations to the lane did not help it out, many points it would have been preferable to just make them keep committing their 2 supports to your offlaner while you went and helped your safelaner farm by zoning out their offlaner (because, once again, your carry was melee in both cases).

I guess the only advice is to keep practicing as a team, and don't get discouraged.

Qop can be quite comfortable in mid against TA as long as you get a Sentry Ward from your supports. Overall I'd want to see your drafting choices have more cohesion. For example, having a defensive support like Dazzle with a Wraith King just doesn't make that much sense (let alone picking him into PL and Nyx). It looks more like a draft where you can only pick certain heroes - if you're going to do this because your team has a narrow draft, at least try to throw them off so you can pick what you need to.

If you hate Dark Seer then you can pick Oracle, arguably the best support against DS right now. Fortune's End removes all the Ion Shells (and Surge).

Hey fedorable

which of these things did you want me to do?

- Indepth look at the game, replay coach/cast, improvements, player actions. basically like angelo used to do.

- look at the draft and give some drafting advice

- rough overview of game and draft with a list of things righ/wrong and improvements

i dont know which would you prefer? if you feel your whole team would want to watch it then option one will be good as ill puase on each player for a bit, if you just want me to look at draft only then option 2 and if you want a bit of both but not as long then option three is a choice.

anyway cheers dude
