Recently I've had an influx of people calling me out for backing out of a lane when there's 3 of us, and the entire enemy team is clearly rotating to gank us on the mini-map due to ward vision I put down. This includes me pinging and say 'Guys, get back, there are five of them' And they moan 'Lion, why u back? Do ur job and support'.

And I'm like... 'I warned you guys. And frankly, given I've bought every single supportive item on this team, and only have Boots and a Wand to my name, I'd rather not die to an obvious rotation'.

Well, at least you can say to them, "Thanks for feeding them guys. Really appreciate it."

Double Post, I know, but I have a story.

I watched this game yesterday. A friend of mines.

There were two people on one team (Radiant), and 5 on the other team (Dire). (Other three people abandoned.)

Radiant had literally no towers left at mid, basically. The only two people left were a Troll Warlord and a PA. Granted, they were level 25, this had been a long match. The other team, Dire, had a Ursa, Huskar, Riki, and two others I can't remember at the moment.

Anyways, the Riki, let's start with him, as it starts and ends with just how god-awful he was. He farmed a Divine Rapier, and proceeded to just hide around, trying to blink strike. He totally missed that he had a "Q" against either opponent, where he could silence. Anyways, somehow he kills one of them, after a teamfight, and takes their rapier. (I think it was PA). A few minutes later, he goes out there against PA, and dies. Doesn't use his Q at all, doesn't try to bail, he dies, and drops BOTH Rapiers. He's just trying to blink strike on them, and that's it.

The level of ignorance out there is really quite frightening at times.

Not quite as extreme as an example (although it's usually me who gets the bad teams) - played a recent ranked match - I ended up playing Bane as we had both a Pudge and Mirana. Ended up in a 2v2 offlane with Pudge...vs Spectre and Crystal Maiden...oh did we rub our hands together in glee. And fill our boots. I was about 9-0-12 after about 10 minutes.

End of the game - "Noob Spectre, carry can't farm, etc etc" - I just pointed out "you left a Spectre to dual lane against THAT?" - silence...

I do feel your pain though dude - tbh I try to stick to the rule of using the mute button as soon as somebody gets aggro or is obviously a complete ****. Helps keep me cool. Ignorance is bliss sometimes!

Ouch. Well, that game, was actually one I spectated. The Riki didn't speak, he just proceeded to say in actions, what we all thought of him.

Unfortunately, most players are in denial about how bad they really are.
It can be something as simple as a bad draft but in my case it comes down mostly to lack of skill or knowledge by the players on my team, but I am of course speaking from "the Trench" so I have no illusions. "The road is long; we carry on; try to have fun in the meantime".
Classic Trench Tier plays including;
- Carry BH going 1-17 and who doesn't use his Track skill on the enemy Sniper who has a SB.
- The Undying on our team dives the T1 chasing 2 near-death Heroes. I go in after him expecting him to drop the Tombstone for an easy double kill. When he doesn't and we both die it is then I realize that he hasn't skilled it even though he is lvl 4. (He got the first skill point at lvl 8...;)
- A Zeus who won't use his skill to check for Techie's mines even though he is asked to do so repeatedly. After he gets blown up by mines we asked him why he didn't check, to which he replied, "I didn't know they were there..." <!!!>
Saying this though, after 100 games slogging through ****, I get that 1 golden game where everything clicks and you love DotA and Mankind all over again <3
GLHF. May all your games be good ones!

Captain's Mode with Latin Americans on the NA servers.

F*ck. Me.

Our captain didn't even know how the gamemode worked until the enemy started their first ban phase, despite instapicking captain. I don't think he was even aware he was captain.

Our team
>Sniper
>Spirit Breaker
>Axe
>Luna
>Tinker

Enemy list

>Templar
>FV
>Witch Doctor
>Tiny
>Omniknight

At first, I think "ok, so I'm the only guy who isn't going to be greedy. That's fine (I was Tinker)." Sniper ends up 0 9 by 15th minute. I have to hug the tower because FV and Templar keep trying to gank me. Spirit Breaker (one of the 3 Spanish speakers) keeps spamming "report Sniper". He also insults him in Spanish. I keep telling them we need to push. Nobody pushes towers. I keep asking for help mid, as I am getting ganked. Nobody helps they f*cking kill me at the tower. Then, all of a sudden Axe charges in. Then SB decides to use his Q, after walking over there. FV and Templar destroy them. SB is using his Q to stun the enemy to get last hits instead of charging in to start a gank. I have to buy the cour and upgrade it, as well as ward. This puts my blink and my boots timing behind.

Spirit Breaker keeps spamming "Tinker Ward por favor". What the **** happens at the end? SB is the only positive guy, because he keeps cleaning up after most of the enemy has left. Then, we lose and he says "Favor de reporter Sniper y Tinker".

Just got out of a game with a useless techies and enchantress. Both wanted core roles for some reason. Techies only placed mines on the choke points and not in lane so the enemy would just snowball down lane and by-pass all his work.

Enchantress didn't use her enchant ability once to get a creature. Yet went AC and said she was a dps enchantress.

I was having to carry the whole team for awhile as Lone Druid but eventually the other team just got so farmed that they would single me out first then go back for the rest of my team once done.

Whil;e everyone is off ranting of **** plays, heres the game of my life i had in EU West just now.
http://en.dotabuff.com/matches/1175636511
Oh, it was a breeze.
The support undying
The ck that helped me top.
The invoker who more than made for the tangos i gave him for mid.
I commended everyone and we all thought one thing. Why dont we get players like us everygame.
This one will forever be etched in my memory as the best solo game i ever had. Hell, it beats most of the 5 stacks i have had till now.
God bless me, so i can find these players again and then we have one more go at doto.
