I need some advice from the DotaFire community, specifically about how to deal with stupid Pub logic. When I play a pub game, my primary goal is to have a good time, but I also don't want to play stupid, degenerate Dota. That is, I don't want to be stuck being the ward ***** for 4 late game carries that will lose the game because the enemy team has good mid game. Similarly, I can't stand it when I see something like an Antimage solo offlane while a CM and Tide farm safe lane. Stupid pub stuff like this kills me.

So, here's where I need your help. I don't like being frustrated when I play the game I love, so I need help finding a new mindset when I join a pub game. How do I learn to accept that people are generally terrible players without being stuck in ward-***** Hell? I enjoy playing every role, but being forced to perpetually fill one in I want any hope of winning makes me want to die.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

The answer to most of DOTA 2's problems can be solved by finding friendly people to play with.

It's sad, but Pubs don't get much better, you will still see plenty of bad players no matter where you go. T-T

Play with friends, play lobby games, or join the DotAFIRE inhouse event.

First off, if you have some friends that play dota (or you could even search this community to find some!) invite them to a group and play, having friends you can actually co-operate with greatly improves the game. If all of your friends are busy, but you really want to play solo, just hope for good teammates, or roll with it if you get bad ones. You'll reach some point where you will see less and less bad players and start getting decent teams often, although don't count on getting good teams all the time. If you are forced to solo safe lane Crystal Maiden, farm up that Daedalus! Forced to play support Spectre? Buy those wards and get warding, I mean, you have that Spectral Dagger ability that allows you to travel through all cliffs, trees and impassible terrain right? I mean that skill was obviously made for warding. :p

Basically what I am saying, is just work with your team no matter what you have to do, just have fun, and get some friends if you can't deal with it anymore. There are lots of people on the Dotafire website looking for people to play with, doubt it would be hard to find a few :)

*wow i made so many spelling mistakes on this first time around lol

Most of the time you just have to get used to it, sometimes there are not only 3~4 hard carries, but also they went kamikaze and blame other teammates that were somewhere else on the map. Most of the time I just go jungle and safe farm until I get my core if I'm playing carry, or wish that my team can won the match with their lucks if I'm playing support and support them with my best.

Report all pub Anti-Mages and Tinkers.

They all suck.

In the long run it helps us all.
