This is a game I played just now. We were losing this game all the time, but we were able to defend the rax. That was our goal and we did it. My team was like: "Man, it's gg, just no def", when I was cheering them up all the time, and it damned work.

Look at this graph. A mountain that was steadily climbing all the game for Radiant. It had some downs, but they always had huge lead.

I played Alchemist support since it was Single Draft mode, but I am not disappointed. I tried supp Alch few times and it worked out very nicely.

I just know that in 6.81 we would lose this game in 23 minutes. Graphs shows that they wiped us out on that moment and that would be it.

I like new patch too, since new changes in Ranked Matchmaking, I haven't yet lost a single one and now I have a winstreak of 6 games. Strangely, I always get a good team in these games. Gotta play one more now, will see if my streak will end.

This patch punishes poor execution. If you are in the lead, don't get overconfident. I think this is the best advice for teams, which are losing because of "comeback" mechanism.

Imagine a team who has Enigma and Sand King. They won every single teamfight with those 2 big ultimates - Black Hole followed by Epicenter and carries did damage inside it. It happened 2-3 times. The winning team has more levels and more gold, but most importantly - they have killing sprees. Now, they won a teamfight yet again and those 2 big ultimates are on cooldown. They think - ok, we won this, they are dead, let's get rax.

But team that is losing decides to buyback. Let's say they have Earthshaker with Echo Slam ready and Shadow Fiend. They still have potential to win a teamfight. They buyback, kill all of them or 3-4 and game turns around. Earthshaker get Aghanim's Scepter, maybe Veil of Discord, Shadow Fiend finishes Black King Bar, go for damage items and they are good to go. They may lose next teamfight, but the difference is getting smaller, they still have rax up, they have buybacks ready and they still know there is a chance to win.

Well, since the release of 6.82 when I am on the obviously winning team I am able to win just like in 6.81. Don't get too cocky, finish them off and write: "gg wp". Good execution, calmness and right calls now are the most important.

This is what IceFrog created. This is beautiful.

Exactly, getting cocky really gets punished

Here, I and my friend managed to come back from an open ancient and two rax down with some good teamfights and opponent's poor decisionmaking (+RAPIER FTW).

Lesson of the day, if you have two rax down and open ancient, you can still win if the opponent doesn't play it cautiously enough now :P

Oh God that Shadow Blade Necro.
Anyway, I feel this change makes Dota so much better than 6.81: you're playing in a 3-man stack and the lane with the two strangers feed? You can still recover. You're getting stomped by a mid game team? Just stall until the late game comes and win a teamfight to feed your carry(ies).

I've just finished a game where we were leading by a huge amount and lost a teamfight because of poor decision making: they managed to get the mid barracks and their Luna got massively farmed, but ten minutes later we made a turnaround again and got the lead.

I also think this change is the reason why the games last much longer than they did in 6.81: before I would even end at 35-40 minutes, now it always goes into late game, which is fun when you're playing support because you never know what you should build.

Yep, I noticed that too, when after stomping some carry-team hard you eventually achieve less and less success in that... it was not rare in 6.81, but in 6.82 it became absolutely common. Thank god my team had enough common sense to finish when they were told to.

I don't know how does if feel to be on the receiving end(i.e you are getting stomped early) though. This probably sucks.

You all make valid points, but I can't get over the fact the the Necro in Krwio's game named himself "2 Girls 1 Puck".

On topic: I love the change. It also makes for more varied games - they go back and forth almost every time now when your team has a good teamfight, instead of being only delayed by the enemies' respawn timers.

Can someone explain to me how Earth Spirit still has the lowest winrate after 6.82? This boggles my mind. My Earth Spirit KDA is higher than my Brewmaster one!

His winrate was also **** when his pull stunned, he was the most OP hero in the game easily. Free kills for days.

People just cant play him.

I don't get it. You don't even have to be standing behind the damn thing anymore to push it. It don't make sense that people can't play him! Io is apparently better than him! What?!
