Abaddon Game

During this game I played a dual offlane with me as the Abaddon and a Vengeful Spirit. We laned against a Drow Ranger, Jakiro dual lane and we absolutely crushed them. Long story short I got a lot of really good support items and our team broke throne in under 30 minutes.

I noticed close to the end of the game that the majority of their team was focusing the rest of my team. I decided to grab an Aghanim's Scepter in order to better the survivability of my allies but I don't whether this was a great item pickup for my team.

So I guess my question is, what would be some justifiable situations to buy an Aghanim's Scepter on Abaddon?

Yes, absolutely - Abaddon struggles sometimes to do his tanking if the enemy stubbornly refuse to target him - especially as a support as you can't really offer them much threat. Biffing people round the head with a Skull Basher sometimes does the job, but Agh's is a good upgrade on him - can help in a lot of situations, gives you a lot of pretty well guaranteed healing and does substantial work for your team.

The only thing to really look out for is if the enemy can disengage easily - you need to time activation (you'll likely need to activate it manually) for your team rather than yourself. 35%+ damage reduction is huge.

Generally you wanna get it against AoE focused lineups when supporting.
This makes your team more survivable in teamfights and lets you heal as well. PoP it just when you know that big ulti is coming.
I am the Abaddon *****!!!

It was a good pickup here, their Team will ideally look to fight with Macropyre up, activating Borrowed Time over that will help your Team immensly.

i.e. Macopyre, Laguna Blade and Rupture

I'd love to play against the Bloodseeker who uses Rupture on an Abaddon :)
