Fun with Supports

What was your favorite game playing support? Was it because of great defense of your carry? Or landing the perfect teamfight ultimate? Feel free to link yours in the comments section.

Mine happened just a few days ago. Me, the Leshrac, and Io split ward purchases and with a ton of successful ganks and great plays by me, Io and Enigma We all managed to get just a bit of gold on our hands.

Awesome Support Game

Generally the fun in playing support for me is either making some sick/ridiculous plays in teamfights, or ganking the midlane.

Examples :

- Any game with Venomancer. Veno is probably the most fun support in the game. YOLO initiator Veno is the only way to play him, anyone who says otherwise is not a good Veno. Blink Dagger into Aghanim's Scepter into Blade Mail. Jump in first and land that 5-man Poison Nova + Venomous Gale combo. And then feed for the greater good. It's not a big deal because your job here is done...your team wrecks the teamfight and you still get that triple kill 10 seconds after.

- YOLO initiator Crystal Maiden. It's best with a friend playing Omniknight. You just need Blink Dagger ; ask Omni for Repel, and then jump in the middle of the enemy team and Freezing Field. Invulnerable CM with Repel + Guardian Angel is lots of fun. Linken's Sphere is typically the next item instead of BKB because screw you Diffusal Blade, but otherwise Aghs/Veil/etc because DPS maiden best maiden, gotta get dat rampage :)

- Enchantress. Because I just love ganking mid. Turns those solo mids with no escapes like Viper, Huskar, Zeus etc into free food.

EDIT : invulnerable Crystal Maiden also works with Black King Bar + Guardian Angel. You BKB, blink in, and the Omni activates GA with Aghs. Since you have BKB up, you're immune to Diffusal Blade. Complete invulnerability for the duration of your BKB :)

Chen and Enchantress are a lot of fun. Oh, the enemy offlaners are going in for a kill on the safelane carry? I'll just swoop in with an army of creeps to turn it around into a double kill for our team.

Utility Doombringer. You never hurt for gold as this guy, and you can have a lot of fun with the various creep skills you devour. The possibilities are endless.

Io! I don't know the ins and outs of this guy all that well yet, and I'm honestly not very good with him in general, but it's so much fun to play.

Disruptor is a favorite as well. Glimpse is one of my absolute favorite skills in the game.

I like them Dazzle Mega Kills, however seldom they may occur.

If I play support I'm usually pretty successful since most opponents wont be used to decent supports. :D
I have 80+% winrate on Jakiro and I play him mostly as support. The playstyle is kinda like Skywrath where you just harrass the offlaner(s) out of lane.

Another support I like to play is Silencer. Again a support that can harrass a lot and force the offlaner(s) away.

Maybe it's because I'm korean, but aggressive playstyle is really just my thing.

So much fun, being a symbiote for the entire game. No, it's not fun at all. You're useless without someone close to you,.


Mine are probably Omniknight, Visage or Earth Spirit, but I never get to play ES as 5.

There is little more fun than a roaming Shadow Demon. Just add Mirana :)
