Faros The Force Master

Considering the recent hype of hero-creating club, I decided that I should also update my hero ideas. This is one of my latest idea, in which the hero relies upon distance enemies travel within duration to deal more damage. He is also capable of using orb effect that increases his range (if you play AD you know what I mean). There are still more there is about this hero, but please do read and interpret it as you will, just ask me about anything you want, and suggestions or even harsh critiques are welcome as long as they make sense and are sensible

Lore

Journal of Faros, Banished of High Elf
Day 2318

It's been a long time since I was banished from my village. I have been alone for as long as I could remember, and during my banishment I have learned many things. However, nothing compares to what I experienced today. It was just a day like many others, meditating and exhausting myself of any emotion, but today, something strange happened.

A being that looks like an insect came in my vision, saying that he was the one who hold the world I am in together. Of course, I did not believe him, thinking that he was just one of my desires that materialized in my vision. However, he proved me to be wrong. "I shall grant you a strength to defy this physical world, I want to know how well it shall contribute to my weaving," he said, and as my vision starts to disappear I felt a surge of power inside me.

I went out of my vision startled and confused, but then something inexplicable happened: when I raise up, a surge of power surges through me and in split seconds I am already in the other side of the room. At first, this power was uncontrollable to me, but after a while I managed to control it a little bit. I can now move objects from far away, physically touching things so far away from me and even force something to come to me. This newfound power of mine is indeed something that defies the physical world.

I don't understand why I am given this power. However, I know that I have a mission to go through and now I shall set on a journey to find my highest calling while learning more of this power.

- Faros -

A chuckle was heard. "Interesting, very interesting. This subject is going to play an interesting role in this world I weave" After decades, the journal is now read by the being from Faros' vision. He seemed to be pleased and creative sparkles can be seen in his eyes, just like the eye of an artist pleased of what he had created. The being closed his eyes and remembers the stories of Faros in the great war, about how he has been known with the name of Force Master and how he is feared by every single enemies. With a grin on his face, the being grew unseen and went away with satisfaction upon Faros the Force Master.

Skills

[Q] Force Strike: Faros strikes his enemies from far away, dealing normal attack damage + bonus damage. This damage is treated as composite damage, and is capable to hit both magic immune and ghost form units. Attacks with this skill are treated as normal auto-attacks, meaning that all attack modifiers / chance can be triggered. Because Faros is melee unit, even when using this skill all his attacks are treated as melee attacks (basher chance, vladmir effect, cleaves, etc. are all possible and treated normally). Right click to auto cast.

- 450 cast range, 10 bonus damage
- 550 cast range, 20 bonus damage
- 650 cast range, 30 bonus damage
- 750 cast range, 40 bonus damage

Type: Target Unit / Auto-Cast
Affect: Enemy units
Damage: Composite

MP Cost: 25

From lifting a glass of water to breaking boulder from far away, Faros can do it

[W] Compulsion: The Force Master is capable to compel a unit to almost instantaneously moves a short distance, dragging an enemy to die or saving himself and his allies from harm. This spell causes a unit to move with 1350 speed toward the direction he is facing and affects both allied and enemy units. Units compelled by this skill will also pass through terrains and units, as well as destroying all trees on the way and mini-stunning that unit.

- 700 cast range, 400 distance
- 900 cast range, 550 distance
- 1100 cast range, 700 distance
- 1300 cast range, 850 distance

Type: Target Unit
Affect: All Units

MP Cost: 120/125/130/135
Cool Down: 14/12/10/8 seconds

Power of Faros compels you!

[] Momentum: Faros caught a glimpse of the force a unit receives/unleashes recently, and uses them to his advantage. This skill passively grants Faros bonus damage every time he hits enemy heroes based on the distance that they have traveled in recent duration. If the enemy hero travels more than 2000 units within the 2 seconds, the distance counter is reset after 1 hit from Faros. That hit knocks back the enemy for 300 points and stuns them for 1 second.

- 1.5 seconds, 10% distance traveled
- 1.75 seconds, 12% distance traveled
- 2.25 seconds, 13% distance traveled
- 2.5 seconds, 15% distance traveled

Type: Passive
Affect: Enemy Heroes
Damage: Physical

Motions caused momentum, and Faros uses them to his advantage

[R] Reminiscence: With every hit, Faros imbues part of his own force to the enemy hero's force. This unit will receives a marking that last for duration and Faros will receives true sight of that unit until duration ends (allied hero doesn't receive the true sight). Any enemy heroes that have this marking can be called back to Faros anytime he wants after a cast time as long as that unit hasn't traveled more than an amount of distance. The marking will also disappears if Faros travels more than 1500 points within the marking duration. If Faros has started his casting time, even if the marking duration has ended the channeling won't stop. Units called back will be in melee range from Faros.

- Last 2 seconds, 3000 maximum range traveled
- Last 3 seconds, 3500 maximum range traveled
- Last 4 seconds, 4000 maximum range traveled

Type: Target Unit
Affects: Enemy Heroes

MP Cost: 250/175/100
Cool Down: 75/50/25 seconds
Cast Time: 1 second

Scepter Upgradable: Make maximum range traveled by enemy heroes global range and reduce cool down to 0 second.

Faros is truly a force to remember

I really like the ultimate, it would be fun to teleport the enemy back to you just as they think that they're safe :) Good idea, and may the force be with you!

Damage type is called composite, not mixed.
Momentum sounds too strong, all i can think is hide in the trees with a blink, let the guy move and blink out ,voila easy 100-125 bonus damage at level 7 which is quite strong, or lane with a tiny.

Rest is a pretty solid build and idea, very imaginative and creative, i love it, very well balanced as well, though in all fairness glimpse kinda trumps the ultimate. But you can do 1 thing glimpse cant, mark someone and shift que TP scroll followed by the call back and ez money. Basically every 60 seconds after level 16 you have a free kill.

Lol yeah I totally forgot about that one, you see, this idea is from some months ago and I didn't know about that composite damage :p

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding, Momentum is based on the distance the ENEMY travel, so it is highly unlikely to deal a heavy amount of damage without his ultimate or compulsion. This is another reason why his ulti is mostly better than Glimpse for him, because if done properly he can do an astounding amount of damage in one hit (which is much, much harder to land to experienced player), after that in which the distance count is reset. You also cannot use ulti once you travel over 1500 range (thus prohibiting you from cheating lol)

Thanks for the praise and comment abbadon, nice to see you again :)

Anytime bro,

I didnt misunderstand the passive though, when any target enemy moves you get a damage bonus right? So what i said was you keep them under vision, then come out of hiding for a shadow blade like burst hit, which will easily net you atleast 125 damage.

Also what if you begin channeling at the EXACT moment like 0.5 sec delay say a kotl or chen successfully called you home? Its STILL exploitable as you yourself mention that once channeling has begun mark dissapearance is moot.

Brainstorm :P

But, but.... any shadow blade break will do more than 125 damage... (150 break damage from itself) lol. Nonetheless, it is true that momentum can deal heavy damage, but it acts as his only source of big damage that relies on enemies' action, so I think it's fair?

As of his ultimate, what I meant as disappearance is moot is only from the duration ending, meaning that if he is stunned he will be interupted, and the 1500 points distance limit still works in that kind of spells

This hero looks very fun, pulling enemies out of position while saving allies, like an Earth Spirit. It's not easy to exploit the bonus damage on momentum though, unless you have a Blink Dagger or Force Staff to reposition yourself after you push them, so that pretty much makes those items core.
