Tlaloc the Stormcaller

Intelligence Dire Hero

Strength: 15 + 1.3
Agility: 22 + 1.5
Intelligence: 33 + 3.9
Range: 480
Movement Speed: 270
Model: Small boy with a throwing dagger as a weapon. Eyes also have lightning sparks. Oooo pretty lights.

Lore: The priests walked down the street to the altar with a volunteer for Tlaloc, God of the Storm. This volunteer was a small boy about 5 years or so, not unusual; but there was something strange about this boy. There was a spark in his eyes. A heart not to be tainted with iron. The priests lay the boy down on the altar, reaching down to pick up the sacrificial dagger. As the priest held up the dagger, lightning appeared and struck the boy on the altar. Storm clouds circled around the the boy's electrocuted corpse, as the priests staggered back, astonished. The boy's heart stopped. Then began beating. Blood flowing through the corpse. Divine blood. The blood of a God. Tlaloc sat up on the altar and looked around in this new host body. Testing his new powers, Tlaloc electrocuted the two priests, incinerating them instantly. He then got up, disguised as a small boy, and walked out of the town. No one knows where he went, but there have been fables of a small boy terrorizing children in villages before killing them and eating their hearts, sending them to place above the Earth.

Skills:
Q
Conjured Storm (Point Target) (Area of Effect) (Magical Damage)

The Storm Caller conjures a small storm in an Area of Effect, dealing moderate damage and slowing enemy units.
AoE: 200/300/450/600
Damage (per second): 100/80/60/40
Slow: 5/10/15/20%
Duration: 3/3.25/3.5/3.75
Cooldown: 23/22/21/20 seconds
Mana Cost: 150
Hee hee! You thought THAT was a large storm?

W
Sacrificial Dagger (Target Unit) (Magical) (Any Unit)

The Storm Caller throws a magically enchanted sacrificial dagger at a unit (can be heroes or creeps regardless of friendly or enemy) to deal damage to them in addition to increasing friendly units' mana regen for a short period of time.

Damage: 200/150/100/50
Mana Regen Boost: 0.25/.75/1.25/1.75
Mana Regen Duration: 4/8/12/16
Range: 480/490/500/510
Cooldown: 10/12/14/16
Mana Cost: 140
Oops! Did that hit you?

E
Thunder Boom (AoE) (Enemy Heroes)
The Storm Caller claps his hands after a short channel duration causing a crash of thunder to emit from his current location. Any enemy hero caught in the AoE will be silenced.

AoE: 250/350/450/550
Silence Duration: 2.5/2/1.5/1
Channel time: 1
Cooldown: 15
Mana Cost: 120
Boom! Heh heh!

R
Mount Tlaloc (AoE) (Magical Damage)

The Storm Caller causes a mountain to spring up from the ground after a short channel time. Any enemy caught in the AoE or walks into are slowed and take damage over time.

AoE: 500/600/650
Slow: 50/75/100%
Damage per second: 100/75/50
Duration: 3.5
Cooldown: 120
Mana Cost: 200/250/300
Oopsies! Did I do that?

So my thinking behind this hero is he would start as a roamer helping to get kills, then transition into a support late in the game. (Also for those who care Tlaloc is the Aztec god of weather) Thanks for reading! :D

mana cost is pretty oppresive.

most supports have VERY VERY high damaging skills to do something in the late game, while this guy doesn't.

Freezing Field, Finger of Death, Laguna Blade, Chain Frost, Mystic Flare.

all of them can (theoretically) deal ****-tonnes of damage.

also not that at level 16,your ultimate will slow heroes for 100 % for 1 second at a manacost of 300 and will have a 2 mins cooldown.

also, are you trying to tell me that the first skill will do 800 ****ING DAMAGE AT LEVEL 1?

sorry but i had to tell these things

Thanks for the feedback!

I understand that the mana costs are fairly steep, however I feel that they would be incredibly overpowered if they were any less. (Also with that much Intelligence it wouldn't be too much of a problem)

I also put the fact that most supps have high damage spells into consideration, however I feel that with a ulti (that I will buff) that completely stops enemies for a short period of time would suffice. (Similar to Black Hole)

And for the last thing that you brought up about the last skill, this a prime example of why you do the math before posting a thread :P I will lower the duration considerably.

Seems like an nice hero, for now the unique thing i think you should probly improve is the cooldown, since it is an spell dependent hero it should have at least one ability with very fast cooldown like skywraithmage first ability, although the hero seems pretty much nice. ;)

Thanks for the feedback Didiuswarrior! However, if one of the skills were to become spamable which would you suggest? I feel that they are to strong to allow people to spam with them.

If it was to be one it would ve the sacrifisal dagger, cause it is not aoe, although you may set it as an hero with special utility in teamfights like jakiro.

what is with all his skills decreasing in damage and usefulness as they level up? If I was to play him I would keep all his skills lvl 1 and then just level up stats! He is the only hero in the game who falls off at the 3 minute mark! maybe switch the scaling the other way round.

^ this.

I understand that levelling up the abilities give them slow and other effects, but if caught in a 1v1 with an enemy nuker, what the hell is a slow going to do against something like Lina? As Cyclanoid suggested, I'd just leave all abilities at lv 1 and get a ton of stats.

My last issue is the ultimate basically does the SAME THING as the Q at level one. Same damage, same duration. The mountain might trap them, but it isn't that long of a duration. I do not feel like this is an ulti, more of a glorified Q ability. What I personally (it might be ****, idk) think might work is something like this:

R: Rain dance
Type: Channelled
The stormcrafter grows tired of his opponent's efforts
and preforms a ceremonial dance which makes thunder launch
from the stormcrafter at 0.5 second intervals. These bolts
do damage and slow for 50%
Duration: 4/5/6.5
Damage per bolt: 60/120/170
Slow: 50%/50%/50%

I like the concept though
