Slark, that damn ultimate is ******ed. Also: Bristleback is pretty obnoxious to play against, people still chase him and wonder how he kills them
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

Abaddon is hard going...shield makes your stuns and nukes very hard to be effective, especially if he's smart enough to use them on his team. His ulti...say not more, you've got to put so much effort in to actually take him down.

Ogre Magi I think has a lot of potential...I see him as the "melee CM". 1.5 second stun/nuke at level 1, slow/nuke at level 2. Makes for great ganking and kill lanes. Obviously no aura, but Bloodlust is much better mid-late. 2nd best overall stats growth in the game also do a lot to help him as things progress, as does his great starting armour.

Guess the big problem with him is the RNG - Multi Cast is massively unreliable (bar the AOE on Ignite), and yeah, he's melee so ranged denies and lane control can be a problem. Also countered pretty hard by the likes of Omniknight, Legion Commander and Abaddon.

i agree with Mirana and Earth Spirit but i think that you can just leave lich alone till mid-late game and you will be fine :/

I agree with Bristleback, it's so fun seeing all those 4 pub carries running behind him and dying after a few quills even if they're in my team. :D
And about Slark, people say he's pretty op in competitive, too: you can't trade hits with him because he gets extra stats from them, he can purge stuns and debuffs, Pounce away from threats and become invisible to everything; not to mention he's like a metal detector for wards. He's pretty easy to counter early on though: just get a Lion, Jakiro, Lina or any other AoE stunner/nuker and you'll be fine unless he gets fed.

Personally I hate Legion Commander and Death Prophet. It seems like whenever I play a game, if the enemy team has one of these heroes they win. (But seriously how do you counter legion commander?!?)

Use OD, because OD counters everything and is the best hero in the game. LC stands no chance.

Seriously though, OD works. LC is a powerful pick overall but she won't be very effective without the extra damage from duels. So just imprison your ally. Other heroes like Naga and SD work well too, so long as you can keep your ally alive and be able to deal with the opposition.

If you don't have OD, make sure none of you are caught out of position and get a TP ready to counter gank quickly.

Lion is by far my best LC counter. Just keep lc hexed/stunned and zap them before it is too late. Easy money.
I am the Abaddon *****!!!

Bristleback does seem very powerful in pubs...but then again you see people attacking him from behind, even when you've just stunned him for them. LC and Axe both good counters - can force him to face them and no casts for several seconds.

Legion Commander must be in every game of DOTA from now on, it seems to be the rules. Can be very problematic if your team splits to farm too much, and once she gets her BKB much harder to deal with. I like the OD/SD suggestions - taking your own hero out of the situation could definitely be useful in those situations, or possibly a hero like Bane or Vengeful Spirit who can bust through magic immunity.

Outworld Devourer can cause a lot of problems to specific heroes, you need the right mid against him - preferably Viper, Razor or Huskar. They really don't care much about lost mana/intel and can effectively harass him.
