Or, you don't need to go directly to flaming a guy trying to help? Hes giving his opinion on the hero and the optimal build and frankly, its the correct advice.

What does your comment have to add to the discussion? Nothing, so how about shutting up?

One Item that I don't understand why you'd ever build on Sven though, is Radiance. It helps with Farming in the Early Game, sure, but Sven already has Great Cleave for farming, getting it Mid to Late Game is a waste since the Damage does next to nothing compared to a Daedalus.

Another is Skull Basher. It work insanely well with Heroess with a lot of Attack Speed, but Power Treads and Armlet of Mordiggian don't provide enough to make it "Core" on Sven, it's certainly a decent pickup if you get an Assault Cuirass or even just the Hyperstone before that. If you really need someone who can Bash early on, you should probably pick a different Hero for that game imo.

As for Arcane Boots...

As Kalil says, Tread Switching is a good way to get more Mana for extra Stuns, if that isn't enough you can buy a Magic Wand if the other Team uses their Skills a lot, or better yet, a Drum of Endurance

Finally, please replace Quelling Blade with Stout Shield, if you "need" the extra Damage to Last Hit, then you either need your Support to drive the Offlaners away, or you just need to practice Last Hitting.

Is the "ADC" your Safe Lane Carry? Because Sven can easily be both the Tank and the Main Damage dealer with good Farm, throughout all stages of the game, thanks to God's Strength (especially when you combine it with a Daedalus. ;{)

I am confused who's guide is this? you have this much whining about someone's guide write your own and shut up

Hi, I was planning to play sven as tanky support, do you recommend that? If you do, may other items such as mekansm, eul's, schyte of vyse between others be useful?

Where you said this: "By this point you should have leveled up enough to have some of your core items and begin to start roaming for ganks. When you are about to go in for a gank., try to get the stun when they are pursing to kill your teammate. Be the last minute hero and try not to steal the kill (REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE THE TANK AND YOUR GOAL IS TO TAKE HITS).", I might disagree on a few things. 1st thing is if the enemy hero is escaping and the ally hero doesn't pursue back, Sven may indeed have to kill steal. I understand it is a bad thing, but I only refer kills as a 'material to victory'. In other words, it only assists in victory. It should be common sense, but I want to point out that if Sven needs to kill steal to earn a kill, he should.

The second thing is: Sven is an initiator. He starts the battle with ease with an AoE stun for 2 seconds plus damage. Yes, the stun can be used as a life safer, but I find Sven more useful getting the bonus advantage when it comes to attacking groups. God's Strength + Great Cleave can easily cause major disruptions and foil their plans. If your allies are there as well, even better. At least 2-3 heroes will die from the assault.

I see where you are going with Sven in this guide: A whopping-damaging hero. It is in the overall possibility, but it leaves some fatal loopholes. Sven isn't a really nuker. He is an initiator/support/carry. His main job is to start battles with allies, support them with Warcry and deal group damage with the combination of God's Strength and Great Cleave, leaving heroes severely wounded from battle.

Several problems.

Radiance is awful, gives no base damage so doesn't effect your ult, burn damage is pretty useless when you have awesome cleave anyway.
Cleave at level 2 pushes your lane, not something you want.
Basher not good until you have lots of attack speed, so only after assault cuirass.
No daedalus which is silly, daedalus is the item which lets sven destroy entire teams.
BKB is core.

A better build would be Treads, Armlet, BKB, Daedalus, Assault Cuirass, Abyssal Blade, then finally Boots of Travel.

I understand you are trying to build sven as a tank... but that is a bad idea. Outside of his warcry armor bonus he really isn't very tanky, low armor strength heroes get shredded by agility carries.

Thanks. I know its not the perfect guide but I've won several matches with Tanky Sven and so I figured it could be a possible thing.

Wow, been some time since I last posted here.

Anyway, I'll start with your items. Getting Armlet of Mordiggian after Helm of the Dominator is just bad. Because the time you rush your HotD, your damage will be so pathetic that the lifesteal isn't even useful. Therefore, get the Armlet first.

I just realized you decided to get Power Treads after Heart which is a luxury item. Judging from this, are you planning to go buy the whole game without boots? Power Treads should be taken even before Armlet of Mordiggian and is the first item to be rushed.

Heart, a pretty standard late game item. Blademail, also standard, although it is more of a situational item.

Radiance is just wrong. If you are going to rush it, you should get it before ~20 minutes. Later than that, you're just wasting your own gold.

Other than that, a standard guide. Explain more on your luxury items, please.

Thanks! I know its a weird build (considering I'm focusing being beefy with a bit of Damage) but that's what I had intended the guide to be. I play Sven as a mini Pudge so I'm use to being the initiator and having to take all the hits while the carry secures the kills. That's what the guide is for.

No, this is the build when I use Sven as the Off-lane hero that gets beefy with 3000 HP late game

Hi there, IMHO a daedalus should be somewhere at your situational item choice, especially when you got fed until so fat. daedalus is too good when couple with your ulti and the cleave passive. Easy 1K plus crits.

I'll probaly put it in there if you start to have to turn into a Carry. This is a build focused on Sven going in and taking hits, not getting fed. I know its a different route, but it's suppose to be like that. If I would have made it a carry build, then I would have put in MoM and Daedalus. Svens goal in this build is to take hits for the team in team fights and let the other carry get fed

Yeah I know the terminology of DotA. It's just I'm the loner when it comes to MOBAs. I'm used to hearing LoL terms because thats what my friends play. Agreed I didn't check over it well, but lesson learned huh :p

A lol player indeed.

There are no tanks in doto. Also Sven is one of best ADC hard carries safe lane farmers damage dealers ***kickers ever, thanks to his ulti that doubles his damage output.

Indeed, I did use LoL terms, but keep in mind that this is not a carry build. This is for someone who goes and and beats on people while he has a lot of health to take hits. If this was a carry build I would have added Desolator, Dadelus, And a MoM as a main item instead of HoT and Armlet. DotA or LoL you still need at least one hero to have a heavy amounts of health, to tank things. This guide is focused on health and armor (Different Route) rather than Damage and Attack Speed (Normal Route)
