Anyone else do it?

I almost feel like dragonknight's ultimate was always meant to be used along side and at the same time as mask of madness pop.

I mean, you could start with wand at least.... and a shield...

Nop, he is relatively squishy early game even with his E. So, getting MoM will literally get him killed. He doesn't need it, anyway/ If you work well with your allies, you can easily secure a kill.

Though, I normally get Force Staff on him to cover his sucky movement speed.

With his ultimate's movement speed increase and long range stun, he really doesn't need Force staff to initiate with, he can just run in usually.

Especially added a pair of basic boots + MoM

Guess the new phase boots are good on him so I'll do that too, what ever.

He doesn't need mom either though. He doesn't have anything that procs like voids bash or spirit breakers bash and he doesn't hav high damage like Sven. His ultimate does damage over time levels 1 and 2 so increased attack speed really isn't giving you that much more damage. Build DK tanky. Not mom.

No, dk needs last hits and all the items that are part of the crystalis recipe will help with that until he gets MoM to proc critical hits.

DK is not meant to tank for the team, he's meant to be a damage doer an life stealer

You can get a shield for him at start, but you sell it later (The 250 shield)

The best item build I've found on him so far is to start with ring of regen and defense ring, grab shield, harass the opponent, grab boots for tranquility boots. (oh yeah grab wand too)

Then grab 2 blades, 1 blade is for crystalis, 1 is for armlett(armlett much later after you know you are regenerating life well and stealing gobs of life, probably after a heart if you can)

Then with the last slot grab life steal mask for 900, which is the next most expensive component, on to MoM which costs 1000 (Still less then the other 1200 cost sword to complete crystalis)

Then finish with crystalis.

As far as his build goes, I avoid putting points in breath of fire, that's my preference, I also tend to just put 1 point in to his stun, but that's just because I like to tank more and have more mana for good timed stuns.

When i say damage doer, I mean damage doer Ultimately and later, early on he is a hunter, still not a tank style hero though.

He's just not meant to tank, even though he is "Durable"

Bristle back, Axe, Centaur can tank.

I just want to add that I used to do a support/tank style D.K. too back when I was a noob... seemed like he could play a tank with support items until I played centaur.

If you want more Initating power then you should go Shadow Blade, the Invis is good if your Team has control over Vision (regularly Warding/De-warding) and the Attack Damage + Speed are nice too.
