Sniper mid bottle?

I have a friend who loves pick sniper. He usually goes mid and buy a bottle. I don't think a botle is a good item for sniper cause I think a good sniper stands far from enemy so in early only need 3 tangos. Early sniper from my point of view no need mana regen or recovery.

Who is rigth? My friend or I?

My friend buy bottle (and nothing other item, obviously) as starter item.

Sniper has **** for base damage and no use for mana, so a couple of regen and a bunch of stat items would be a good idea. Basically, you are right :)

Sniper shouldn't be going mid anyway, but I won't judge.

You should never go bottle first on any hero.

if you really DO want to start with spending all of your money a much better idea would be wraith band plus tango though its not recommended

Not a good idea ( Sniper is a very situational mid anyway), you want to Bottle if:

- You have better mobility than the opposite mid to get the runes

- You want the runes for ganking the other lanes

- You want/need the continued health/mana regen

With Sniper is the answer to all 3 is "no". His mobility is awful, fighting for a rune will probably get you killed. You're not going to gank in any meaningful way (maybe long range Assassinate to help/finish), he won't be spamming Shrapnel much and shouldn't be getting hit regularly.

With his poor base damage and health he really needs stats.
