I used to play league of legends but now after its getting boring iam switching to dota 2
I need help on which hero I should play.
in lol I usually played a off tank /bruiser champion
I'm just starting dota 2 so I would prefer a easy hero.

Hey and first of all welcome to our community!

Now, about the hero you were asking: Centaur Warrunner , Chaos Knight, Dragon Knight. They each have an easy to use stun and some pretty good damage, while each being tanky.

If you happen to play 'Blitzcrank' -> Pudge is your monstrosity! he got a hook with a good range, and the more kills he gets the more tankier he gets with his Flesh Heap. He can even deny himself with Rot

Tidehunter could also be a good choice. his Ravage is one hell of an Initiation-Ultimate! Kraken Shell makes him somewhat tanky.
But he needs some Training to be used efficient. ( Blink Dagger + Ravage Timing / Refresher Orb use)

Skeleton King has indeed a very easy skill-set
a good stun Hellfire Blast
Life-leech Aura Vampiric Aura
Critical Strike Mortal Strike
Reincarnation

You just have to watch your mana pool since Skeleton King doesn't have much. watch out for mana draining heroes like Lion or Anti-Mage (and Diffusal Blade users) because without mana you can't be reborn by your Ultimate.

Hey everyone. I am new to the game as well and have no prior experience with MOBAs except for Guardians on 360 which doesn't even count really. I don't have much to say on this topic as i am new but wanted to introduce myself. Game is incredible and i cant wait to get a better grasp of everything so i can start getting some kills and wins.
I am terrible but such things shall change!

definitely play with bots for about a week. play the practice modes, play 5v5 with bots, play only 2-3 heroes, so you get used to their skills and animations - keep beating the bots, and change your skill/item builds - that way you have a better understanding there as well. try to understand the bot heroes.
Unfortunately when you do go online, you won't recognise some heroes - or what they do - or even some of their items - and you will get stomped. you have to put up with that. learn from it.
Generally don't pretend you know, if someone tells you to do something, just do it, and don't be afraid to die. That is the underlying problem - noobies try not to die, even if it is their job to get their skills of and just die.. haha :D dying is good, you can watch the rest of the clash too ;-).

Think of it this way, if you die, but your team kills 2 of their heroes, that's a good trade. Just be willing to make that commitment.

Thanks for the advice man. That seems to be the problem with some new players is that they cant accept they are new and want to be pro without the work. I appreciate the feedback and will keep at bots for the next few weeks before jumping back online.
